    The Fine Print
    Limit 1 per person, no gifting allowed • Amazon.com Gift Card does not expire • Voucher purchase is valid for US-based customers only • LivingSocial Terms and Conditions apply • The Amazon.com terms and conditions set forth below are deal specific terms that supersede any inconsistent terms in the LivingSocial terms and conditions. • Amazon Gift Card cannot be purchased with Deal Bucks.

    thank you so much!! I didn’t know there’s such a deal! greant that I was just talking to my mom last night that I found something nice on amazon.com.… so I can get it for cheaper!!

  3. benji

    I saw this too: Voucher purchase is valid for US-based customers only

  4. Jihae

    I purchased with my canada address and canadian visa. Waiting for the confirmation.

    Well I put this in the forum, but here’s my two cents on it:

    It states “Voucher purchase is valid for US-based customers only ” … so this could very well be referring to when you make your AMAZON purchase, not the purchase on Living Social.

    LivingSocial will take your $$ (presumably), but when you go to use your Amazon gift card/voucher, you may not be able to use it on the AMAZON.COM site, KWIM?

    I know some of the sweet deals on Amazon.com aren’t available for purchase in Canada. So this could be the same thing.

    It should also be noted it’s a .com voucher, not a .ca voucher, and Amazon is one of the companies out there that really does operate the two separately.

    benji, I just read it too and cancelled my order to avoid any possible problem. Thanks.

    Hi, I just called the company that posted the deal. Unfortunately, they said the deal is only good in the USA! Sorry!

    Just in case anyone is wondering you can buy stuff from Amazon.com even if you live in CANADA such as books, cds, dvds etc. Always check that the seller does indeed ship to Canada first. Stuff sold and shipped by Amazon.com can generally be shipped here ;)

    Amazon.com = US
    Amazon.ca = Canada.

    This deal is directed at US customers. If you can buy it, your still going to have to deal with having your purchased shipped across the border. So your 10 savings will easily be eaten up by taxes and fees.

    In the end you are likely going to be paying a lot more than you think

  12. Sally

    Jeff, theres tens of thousands of people whom order from Amazon.com all the time that are from Canada.

    :)

    oh well… i didn’t cancel my order. I’ll just cross my fingers and hope I get it. i go cross the border for work every week anywayz so if it works, i’ll be saving $10~ =)

    Amazon.com’s prices are so much better than Amazon.ca’s. During their Black Friday sale, I spent about about $300 on movies and CDs that would have cost more than $700 on Amazon.ca. It’s well worth checking out the deals on Amazon.com, even with the added shipping and taxes.

    I have a US address, so I really appreciate seeing this deal! I also agree with Sally, I’ve purchased from .com plenty of times, though I usually ship within the US and drive over the border to pick up and avoid brokerage/duty fees. If you have a Kindle, you have to go to .com to purchase books.

  16. Mist_ynight

    I just ordered this, I just wish I could have ordered a couple. I got a Kindle for Christmas so that will get me a couple books for the price of one :)

    I love shopping from Amazon.com and .ca ! I earn free gift cards for both, so to be honest– I don’t really pay attention to how much shipping/duties are– just if its an overall deal! I got a whole bunch of baking stuff for 20% cheaper buying it off of .com (even after taxes/duties/s&h) than buying the EXACT same items off of .ca! It was the same store selling on both sites, but the additional costs make the difference.
    Also .com has better prices for DVDs. I got True Blood season 1 for $12 before the extra costs, and it was still $20 cheaper than buying it on .ca!

    If you go through your swagbucks account it actually has a spot for your canadian mailing addy so you dont need a us addy

  19. Laura

    Swagbucks was talking about this offer earlier…saying it will only pop up in available areas…but that was 280SBs..

    Seems to good to be true having an offer like that though…if its a US based customer one shop type idea then it may likely be just based for US residents…code usually comes via email then you copy and paste it into your amazon.com account under gift cards.
