I use to buy a lot of stuff from AE before they changed their rewards point system, and also reduced the amount you could buy at a time.
A few times i scored a bunch of shirts for $1.80 — $3.50 (reg 20 — 25.) It was when it was relatively easy to get the 40% off reward, and used it together with the 50% additional discount on clearance and also the buy one get one half price on shirts
I do like their jeans and actually need a new pair, so i guess ill check if they still have the ones i like,
Lastly don’t like that they stopped sending the free return shipping labels with the larger over $100 orders, and actually make you pay for shipping that is non refundable. They also don’t accept online/phone ordered returns to stores. Luckily i only had about 3 items that i didn’t end up liking, so i just ended up keeping it or selling it rather then paying shipping. Id happily give up the small % of duty just to be able to return/exchange it at a store in Canada rather then pay and wait for a return/exchange or drive to the states.

^Thanks so much for the code
I used it for an extra 20% off the extra 40% off sale items, and picked up some pretty sweet deals. Duties weren’t too bad, because my order wasn’t much…but I ended up getting 4 items for just over $40

Chloe, how high were the duties?it’s weird that they charge duties when they do have stores in canada and a warehouse in mississauga.…
however, i’m thinking of getting some stuff– usually you can the right sizes online ^^

From what i can remember, duties were about 10–13%.
That’s the same thing i was thinking, they have stores here and they always shipped my stuff from Windsor, so why am i being charged duties.

@Stephanie and Rk86: I’m not sure if it differs from province to province…but I calculated the duties and it’s 18% for BC. The taxes are then calculated from the subtotal + duties.
I don’t understand why they charge duties either =s But the sales were so great, that I didn’t mind paying for it this time (And it wasn’t much for my purchase anyways; my subtotal was $31.47 and duties were $5.66)
