Click on the link to return the the store menu, then scroll down. In the left column, you’ll see a little heading that says ‘Special Deals’. I think that’s where it came from.
We JUST bought a refurbished Apple TV the other day and it’s love. We’re even getting rid of our cable! We also bought a refurb iMac and it works perfectly!
Keep in mind that if you’re in the market for a Mac, and have an education discount, the “free iPod” school promotion only applies to new products and not these refurbed items.
I was considering a refurb MBP, but with education store access and the iPod it made more sense (to the tune of saving about $100) to get a new laptop and sell the Touch or Nano on Craigslist or Kijiji. If you don’t mind reselling the iPod, your total savings can come in well under the refurb discount.
