Blockbuster Canada is offering 10 items for $10! This includes all film, game and game accessories. All remaining stores are closing today (September 30, 2011). They have various hours, so call ahead to make sure your store is open before you head out. I am sure things are pretty picked over by now, however any item for $1 is still a great deal!

Its so sad to say that my store that I go to on a regular basis is closed, I was going to go see about this deal and say good-bye to the employees and wish them luck :/

I bought 30 dvds yesterday between two locations, just for $34.50 with tax.

I bought 30 brand new bluray dvds yesterday as well. Paid $33.90
Sad to see the stores close though.

Went last night and there wasn’t much to choose from on the stands. Got a lot of horror/thriller flicks (2009–2010). At the cash they were keeping a lot there. Therefore I got 20 movies for 20 bucks. Lots of variety including 2 for my kids. Lots of this year’s titles.

I managed to nab a lot of Chinese and Thai movies, a lot than my local library doesn’t carry.
The end of an era. This is sad. I always feel too bad to go into a store that is liquidating everything — it feels like kicking someone when they are down and running away with their cane and wallet and maybe the shirt off their back too.

I’m actually surprised they couldn’t find a buyer, according to one manager they were profitable unlike the one in the US.
i went to most of the ones in K-W on Wednesday, not much to choose from so i only picked up 4 movies, one of them i saw at another location NEW for the same price i payed used for and in the ugly blu-ray case, wasn’t happy.
I wanted to go to one yesterday to see if i missed anything and also to try and get empty blu-ray cases, but it closed early.
Now i’m stuck with either renting my games by mail, or actually buying them since apparently rogers is getting out of game rentals

I am more sad that kwikpix.ca closed. They offered really good quality photo prints for as little as 8 cents:-(. Costco photos quality is poor comparable to kwikpix.
