If you live in a city and are expecting a parcel, you may find your mail carrier knocking on your door on the weekend as Canada Post has brought back weekend delivery to help keep up with the mail volumes.

For letters and cards, you need to mail by December 17th for mail going to another province, December 18th for same province and December 21st for local mail.  Mail dates are not guaranteed though, and there have been complaints on the forums of regular mail taking 2 weeks across the country so you may want to send a few days early.

For parcels, regular parcel mail must be sent by December 11th.  If you have a Venture One card, you can send a couple of days later with Expedited or wait until December 22nd for Xpresspost.
