Mom 2 Mom Sale – Windsor, ON – WFCU Centre
Saturday, September 25th, 2010
10:30am – 2:00pm
Admission $1 (kids free)
**I’ve never been to one of these but my sister gets all kinds of excited when they come around, so I think I’ll check it out this year!
is this just a garage sale type of thing?
can someone give me an idea what is sold.
thanks
I’ve been to the ones held in Windsor many times now… Yes, it’s a garage sale type thing. It’s all kids items – from birth to 12 years. About 70% clothing, and the rest is books, videos, toys, etc.
Ottawa is having an OutGrow OutPlay sale in Nepean tomorrow (Saturday the 25th) from 8-3pm. Most items will be 50% off between 2pm and 3pm. The sale will be held at the Ben Franklin Superdome on Greenbank Rd.
@Caroman…. from the ad, I believe a lot of the items are used children’s clothing & items… toys, shoes, books etc etc. I haven’t been to one yet, but I’ll be going to the Windsor one tomorrow!
Mom to Mom sale in Stratford, Ontario at Knox Presbterian Church on October 2. Starts at 8 or 8:30 until about 11:30. No admission fee.
I find Mom to Mom sales great for big items like strollers, exersaucers, toys, and mostly for children’s clothing (especially the baby and toddler sizes). I usually buy the pieces of clothing for $2 or less. The clothing usually seems to be in really good condition. I was just at a sale in Exeter this morning, and scored a few clothes for my kids. My kids love to bring a loonie and find a fun new toy to play with. My 8 yr old was thrilled today to buy 5 books in a series she loves, for only 50 cents total!
A tip for the frugal…head to the sale near the end of the time, and people lower their prices really low, like $5 for a full bag of clothes, because they really don’t want to take them home again!
