Ok, this has to be one of the weirdest freebies I’ve ever blogged in my life.
Apparently CBC is going to air a show on Queen Elizabeth on September 20th in 3d. You can pick up your free pair at participating Canada Post locations.
Ummn, is it just me or is this just plain weird? I can see the headlines now “You haven’t seen Queen Elizabeth until you’ve seen her in 3d!”

I think it will be very cool! By the way, so people know if they already have 3D glasses — the red and blue ones, nor the clear polarized ones won’t work, you need the amber and blue lenses.
What I think is most amazing is that parts of the Queen’s coronation in 1953 were filmed in 3D and in colour, and this will be shown as part of the program.

LOL this is funny! So we don’t need a 3d tv? If so I am totally getting some of the glasses and will enjoy a 3d experience! lol I was planning to catch the special anyways so why not take part in the 3d! This is funny though! who would have thought it? seeing the Queen in 3d? lol Oh I HAVE to tell my family-they will sure get a laugh out of this!!! possibly more than when I told them about the wine sipping cows in BC! lol that was on CBC too I think. it’s a whole other story-I can share if you like. just ask me.

i just picked up mine, took the lady at the counter a few seconds to realize what i wanted, and then said people have been asking about the all day. unfortunately they’re just the old school paper glasses, but i’m not surprised since its way cheaper to make em

poor lady its bad enough to age in the public eye but now she will be doing it in 3D. I know I wouldnt want my wringles jumping into the living rooms of millions of viewers
