These Freebies are nothing in comparison to what veterans and the military have done and continue to do our country but they sure are a nice gesture on these companies parts.  I for one am so grateful for the sacrifices made by our military persons for us to continue to have the lives we have.  These are just a few freebies I have stumbled upon that are strictly for Veterans and acitve duty military persons. I thought I would share them.

If you are aware of any other freebies available for our Veterans and Military please share them with us.

On November 11th Applebees is offering a FREE signature entrée for Vetereans and Active Duty Military with proof of military ID. Get more info here.

Click here to check out the Menu selection for this offer.

Sudsys Super Wash Alberta is offering FREE car washes to all military personnel, police department personnel and fire department personnel active or retired from November 7th to November 10th 2011.

I’m especially grateful that you’ve posted this, because my hubby is military. I don’t think that either of these companies have a location near us, though. :(
Many businesses offer discounts for military personnel in our area, certainly a nice perk!

many companies in Canada don’t advertise that they offer military discounts throughout the year. it never hurts to ask if a business offers a military discount but be sure you compare it to any other discounts the business may offer.
Some businesses, in areas where there is a large military presence, will offer continuous discounts for miliatry. Check with your MFRC.
In the States many plaaces offer discounts for military and veterns that even Canadian military can get.

CFappreciation.ca has a list of many businesses who support military personnel. :)

Here in Toronto, you can ride the TTC free with another person with military ID on Remembrance Day. Though, it’s a good idea to print out the press release from their website since we actually had to argue with the booth attendants last year. You can ride the GO for free as well (again, print out the info sheet, though we didn’t have to argue with the GO people at all last year).

There is a bakery in my hometown that is giving the vets a free cupcake :) It’s nice that people are doing this kind of thing.

Someone told me that if you mail expired coupons to the gov’t they will give them to military family’s to use…apparently they can use expired coupons if they were out of the Country when they expired. I’m not too sure about this, but if anyone knows anything about it, I would love to send them some of my better coupons that I didn’t get to use!
