A few weeks ago I posted a link to apply for a new Herbal Essences, Matchstick.ca promo.
Well this week my (not hard on the eyes) Fedex man delivered a package for me! Let me tell you it’s absolutely fabulous! 6 full sized bottles to try out and 20 free coupons to share with friends and family!

I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner about 3 times now and so far so good heres a list of things i’ve noted thus far
- Shampoo is extremely thick, a little goes a long way
- Bottles are cute looking
- Lids are a bit hard to open, more decorative then created for ease of opening
- Conditioner isn’t as thick but leave hair soft and manageable
Styling and design of bottle id give it a 5/5
Performance of product 4/5
Ease of use 3.5/5
Overall I’ll give it a 4/5
I’m quite interested to see how this shampoo and conditioner performs in the long run, generally after a few weeks is when my hair starts feeling not so good from a shampoo, I’ll be sure to update!

Wow! I remember entering I Hope I Hope I get lucky but not likely I don’t live in an Urban center and Matchstick seems to like ciyt folk better.Maybe someone I know will share a coupon< I always loved Herbal essence I an not sure they needed to make any changes?
Wow the packaging in came in is extremely cute! It’s surprising how they advertised 10 shampoos and condtioners but SCers have been recieving 26, almost 3x! I hope they haven’t viewed my entries yet (so I still have a chance.. but probably not since I entered early
..

Craftlady, if it helps any I live in a pretty rural area, but I get the word out probably to more people then someone in the city its all about the small town buzz imo !

Just recieved my ten coupons in the mail today — just in a pink envelope — nothing fancy like the picture shown — but hey I’m not complaining — my firends and family will be quite pleased too with yet another freebie!

I got mine too…in a pink envelope. I was very surprised that i received it because i never got a approval email. *scratches head* retailers are not suppose to charge you the taxes

and I was able to grab a regular HE shampoo (for colored hair) and still get it for free
Hi everyone.
I received 10 coupons through the mail and planned to use the shampoos and conditioners in gift baskets for friends birthdays.
The coupons clearly state only one coupon per purchase [and not per transaction]
I decided to redeem them at Shoppers as that is the closest to my house. I grabbed all the bottles I needed and headed to the checkout where I guessed I may encounter resistance. The girl at the till was so rude and abrasive that I was getting all these free bottles, and she immediately called over her supervisor to complain that I was getting these. With a quick look at the coupon, the supervisor told her it was fine and how to enter it in the till. The shampoo there was $3.49, and I was trying to calculate HST on $34.90. As the girl finished scanning everything, the system asked for an optimum card, which I had ready to give. She pressed cancel and said “no, you don’t get anything because you’re getting all this without paying for it”. I figured Shoppers would want to scan my card anyway and at least find out who had redeemed $34.90 of free merchandise. I then realised that she had given full discounts without entering that I needed to pay tax. So I really did get all those bottles for free!! This one girl’s bad attitude lost her store future custom AND they have to pay the HST for me.
Further, when I looked at my receipt at home, it said with an Optimum card I would have earned 340 points.
Regardless, I am well-stocked, but be prepared for some resistance. Remember to point out that the coupons say “per purchase” and not “per transaction” because this girl tried to tell me I could only use one per day, which is not mentioned on the coupon.
I got the my 10 free coupons last Wednesday, I shared 4 coupons with my sis in laws and I bought 1 shampoo already…I will try it and for sure love it!

regarding their attitude — i encountered the same at shoppers by my work — to be fair I did get a regular shampoo, not one of the new ones, and a new line conditioner.. but an hour earlier my colleague went and got 2 conditioners from the old line and noone said a word, so I figured it shouldn’t be a problem for me either
it seems they hate receiving those free coupons
the girl almost threw my bag at me and didn’t even look at me — and no optimum points either
I just recieved the 10 free vouchers today…really surprised i got them as i never win ANYTHING lol.
