Looks like while some com­pa­nies have suf­fered great loses from the Bio­phe­nol A (BPA) ban, some are using it as a way of increas­ing their profits.

    Thanks!! I found some plas­tic BPA-free Nuby bot­tles today at a dif­fer­ent Zellers I don’t nor­mally go to. We’ll see how Cal­lum likes them. :)

    The large 18 litre plas­tic water jugs that we pur­chase from the stores for our home/business water cool­ers have this num­ber 7 on the bot­tom. I checked sev­eral dif­fer­ent brands.
    Does any­one know if they con­tain Bis­ph­neol A?

    If it does than I won­der if it is wise to drink water from these jugs? Is this water going to be safe for chil­dren and the elderly?

    I’m assum­ing the bot­tle itself is still BPA FREE?? You just have to buy lin­ers now…

    Or does the bot­tle con­tain BPA but the LINERS are BPA Free??

    In Regards to your ques­tion Alex. Sup­pos­edly, those home/buiness water cool­ers aren’t safe as well…they do con­tain BPA…just as well some­one told me, you should still never re-fill pre bought water bot­tles (like dasani, aqua­fina etc.) with water, they are intended for one time use…

    I’m still wait­ing but I know that a lot of moms are get­ting their bot­tles so I’m hop­ing any day now! Now, if only that Avent one would come!

    My mom and I received them today (I’m in South­ern Ontario and she’s in North­ern Ontario). Nice bottle.

    We received a tip in our pre-natal class that Loblaws sells apple juice in small glass bot­tles that are the right size for a baby bot­tle top.

    This is sup­posed to be much cheaper than buy­ing real glass baby bot­tles. We looked last night for them at our neigh­bor­hood Loblaws but no luck. We’ll keep look­ing though…

    How long have you all waited?

    I received the play­tex ‘bpa-free play­tex nurser request’ email on May 15, 2008 and it has been more than 2 months (over 8 weeks) since and I still have not received the free nurser…

    No, I got a blue one and a pur­ple one. They are the orginal nurs­ers not the newer one shown.

    Tried get­ting bot­tle with drop ins but doessn’t apply to Canada as won’t let me do it.
