This is definitely one of my favorite freebies every year, and makes me really resent that my birthday is in October and that I have to wait so long to claim it! Each year, Sephora Canada offers a free birthday gift to all of their Beauty Insiders. I really enjoyed the gift from last year, which was a mini Makeup Forever mascara and lipstick, but I think I’m even more excited about this year’s gift. The new gift for 2015 is free minis of NARS Velvet Matte and Satin Lip Pencils.

If you are not a Beauty Insider you can become one for free by signing up in store or online. One of the major benefits to signing up is that you will receive points for every purchase you make at Sephora Canada, which can then be redeemed for rewards. And if you happen to be a male with  a Beauty Insider card, although I do not see it on their website, Sephora has previously had a version of the birthday gift more suitable for men.

The birthday gift can be added to your purchase online or redeemed in store, any time during the month of your birthday. If you redeem in store you typically have to show some identification indicating that it is your birth month.
