In this week’s Shoppers Drug Mart flyer, November 1-7, it details how you can earn 2,000 bonus Shoppers Optimum Points when you purchase either a $50 or $25 gift card from Canadian Tire.
Unfortunately, if you do not collect Shoppers Optimum points this deal may not be the most rewarding as the points are only redeemable at Shoppers Drug Mart for collecting members. However, if you are collecting, these bonus points can get you up to 10% back in Shoppers merchandise.
There are also perks when you buy a Canadian Tire gift card, which include, but are not limited to:
- the cards can be used to pay for gas at Canadian Tire gas stations
- you will receive Canadian Tire money (redeemable at Canadian Tire) when using the card
- and the gift cards can be used both in-store and online

With this deal, you don’t REDEEM the 2000 points, you EARN them.
Phoned for the rules…..2000bp on every $50 worth of CT GCs. Must be in $50s or $25s…if you want $100 worth you must buy 2 $50s or 4 $25. You can buy 2 $25s to make 50 and get the pts. You can buy multiples and you can buy in 1 transaction. That is what customer service told me when I called. No point redemption needed….you earn points….like David said 🙂
Thanks David and Nicole. The correction has been made to reflect that you earn the points, and not redeem them.
This is great! I’m just over 1,000 points short of reaching the 38,000 mark on my Shopper’s points and didn’t expect to get there for quite a while.
Thanks Smart Canucks, you’ve helped me once again.
I can verify there is no limit to the number of cards you can get. I got $850 to pay for my winter tires, rims and undercoating and got the base points and bonus points for each!
