I didn’t see the link, but if it’s the site I’m thinking of (with the satellite zooming in on the cellphone’s supposed location) it’s a joke site anyway.
yeah that’s the one… it’s just a funny joke site but I don’t want to jeopardize any of my readers’ privacy so it’s better to just remove it 🙂

This site was featured on Snopes.com as an example of a friendly hoax, and it was, a joke put on by a company who really did have something related to sell, and so far as anyone at snopes could tell, it wasn’t malicious, although it had every opportunity — typing in a cell phone number is as good as handing over an email address!!
But in this particular case, it seems, even the perpetrator of the hoax didn’t think of anything so malicious. It’s just a joke, meant to amuse us.
^ Sorry for being so cynical and suspicous then. You just never know though!
Also, even if this service did existed, it seems like a violation of privacy.
