You’ll remember how we posted the other day about an incident where a parent reported their child being scratched by one of the faulty Pekkle infant sleepers sold by Costco Canada. Well, as was rightfully suspected, the company responsible for manufacturing these sleepers, Lemur Group, is now formally recalling all of the sleepers sold at Costco between April 29, 2016 and April 14, 2017.
Lemur Group describes this in their letter as being a voluntary recall, as the metal snaps on the infant sleepers have been reported to fall off in some cases, which could potentially lead to your child being scratched (as was the case with the parent who initially filed the claim) or choking. There have been no choking cases reported, however.
If you’ve bought one of these Pekkle infant sleepers from Costco in the past year, then here’s what you’ll need to do to claim your full refund:
- first, stop using the sleeper immediately
- second, take the suspected sleeper to your nearest Costco location (it needn’t be the one that you originally bought it from)
- and lastly, you will receive your refund
They do not say that you need any proof of purchase, like a receipt, but if you are concerned about this you can email [email protected] or call the customer assistance line, toll free, at 1-844-483-3868.

If you have a valid Costco card, they can check your shopping history to give you the right price back.. It’s one of the huge perks of your membership.
Do you happen to know if you can still being them back if you didn’t purchase them? My mom from another province bought them for me.
Also, I don’t have a valid membership, it is expired.
How much is the refund?
