The kids will be at their grandmother’s for March break. However, I might take advantage of this if there’s anything good playing.
Does the twonie charge apply to adults? I wonder.
I thought it said manatees on sale for $2… that would have been awesome.
Suzanne the toonie is for adult admissions too. But I know that at our location in Kitchener Ontario it was only select movies and they were all kids (G or PG rated) movies last year that they offered – so I guess we’ll just have to see what movies will qualify for the toonie deals this year 🙂
Yeah, specific movies are $2 per general admission ticket. It’s like how many small town theatres have $2 or $5 midnight movies once in a while. Or when the old Vogue back in my hometown had Space Jam for $2 during the Sat and Sun matinees for 3 weeks back when it came out.
New Brunswick has their toonie movies posted for their theatres … other provinces say “Movie titles for these locations will be updated as they become available.”

Astroboy – playing at 10:45am
Alving and the Chipmunks playing at 11am, 2pm and 4:45pm
and Plant 51 – playing at 10:30am
So you can see the above movies for $2 per person, per movie
They also have a deal if you spend $7 you get admission to one movie plus you get a kids combo pack which is a box with a section filled with popcorn, a section for candy (they show smarties in the picture) and a small child size drink.
This deal is back again for this year – 2011 , so go for it 🙂
