Entertainment Weekly Magazine Canada 55 Issues + Free Retro Tee: $20

Bayside Tigers Canada

Unlike most Entertainment magazines I find Entertainment Weekly to have a unique less gossipy feeling to it.  Entertainment Weekly Magazine currently has an awesome promo on annual subscriptions. Get 55 issues (in reality 40 issues but some are double issues) as well as a free Retro T-shirt for a total of $20!

The free T really grabbed my attention! It’s not just any noname T. There are some cool ones like Saved By The Bell’s Bayside Togers!! I can see myself paying $20 for that T alone.

Thanks, Boo, for posting this great deal. I’ve placed my order. Hope the shirt fits.
They only had a choice of two sizes….Male or Female…..??

Thanks a lot. I have placed an order to have the subscriptions sent as a gift. I noticed that there was no confirmation number tied to my order, just my name.

Wow thanks! My 14 year old dd is greatly anticipating her “I love Jake Ryan” T-shirt, LOL. The two of us are both voracious readers, so the price for the magazine really can’t be beat.

Thanks. I just got a subscription, but read the fine print:
    Option 1
EW publishes eight double issues a year. Each counts as two of 55 issues in an annual subscription. Entertainment Weekly may also publish occasional extra issues. Rate good in U.S. only. In Canada: 40 issues/$25 CAD (40 issues/$20 CAD credit card), plus GST, HST and QST as applicable.
    Option 2
EW publishes eight double issues a year. Each counts as two of 55 issues in an annual subscription. Entertainment Weekly may also publish occasional extra issues. Rate is valid in US only. In Canada: 55 issues/$25 CAD, plus GST, HST, and QST where applicable.
Still a pretty good deal though for all those issues.

What is this advanced screening pass thing mentioned on the website? Is it valid in canada? I would get the magazine if the passes are valid in montreal…for that alone.

The original post was misleading, because the “40 issues” subscription does not imply “55 issues”. The fact that 8 issues are double issues does not make up the difference of 15. Let’s not confuse the “issue”, ha!

Found a better deal if the t-shirt isn’t important to you.

In Canada: 40 issues/$15 CAD (55 issues/$15 CAD credit card), plus GST, HST and QST as applicable.

In effect, you are getting 15 additional issues and pay $5 less. In other words, 27.3 cents/issue as compared to 50 cents/issue (with free t-shirt).

  7. Boo Radley says:

Chi of Steel, the link you posted offers the same number of issues and you’re not getting 15 additional issues.

  8. Chi of Steel says:

Unless I’m reading incorrectly, the link I provided offers 55 issues for $15 (an addition 15 issues with credit card). The original link offers 40 issues for $20 ($5 less with credit card).

I think the confusion lies in that 40 issues does not equate to a full year’s subscription. The disclaimer about the double issues may mislead you to think that you’re getting 55 total, where in fact, it’s not the full 55.

I love EW! Its the best mag.

I think my subscription is almost over. I’ll have to order again!

This is so confusing …… I just received the renewal notice from EW and their offer for my second year subscription is $75.77 per year? what happens to the first year’s special offer?
