PRESTO cards, which can be used for numerous transit systems across the GTA, typically cost $6. However, if you attend one of these PRESTO events you can get your card for free by loading $10 on it. Check out the list below for the upcoming events.
- Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at YRT/Viva Head Office: 50 High Tech Road, 5th floor, Richmond Hill
- Saturday, February 6 between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Newmarket Winterfest:
Riverwalk Commons, 200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket - Sunday, February 21 between 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Vaughan Winterfest: Vellore Village Community Centre, 1 Villa Royale Ave, Woodbridge
- Wednesday, February 24 between 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Finch GO Bus Terminal: 5697 Yonge St, Toronto
- Tuesday, March 1 between 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Finch GO Bus Terminal: 5697 Yonge St, Toronto
If you can’t make it to one of the above events, you can load a YRT/Viva monthly pass or e-purse value on your PRESTO card online at prestocard.ca, in person at the head office (see contact information) or a YRT/Viva PRESTO fare agent.

Honestly, no Union Station? The biggest transit hub in the country but they don’t offer them there?
The problem with Union station is/was all the construction going on.
Presto wanted a fixed location where everyone could easily notice them.
(for promotions etc)
They were denied and told that setting up shop meant constant relocation.
You will also notice the Gateway @ Union TTC station is gone.
Gateway is one of the Presto vendors in various parts of the TTC.
Perhaps after all the bulk of the construction @ Union station is finished there will be Presto cards @ Union station.
