Have you ever bought something only to see the price go down next time you are in the store? Turn shipping on its head by signing up for a Sprize account!

Sprize is a new pilot project from the Gap. Sign up for an account at a participating Vancouver area (only this area for now) Gap store for free, and if the price drops on the item you purchased within 45 days, it will automatically credit you with the difference in Gap store credit (Sprizemoney)!

Thank you to astrid for submitting this deal through the “suggest a deal” form!

So, they dont give the difference back like at other stores, they “give” the difference as a store credit, which you have to spend at the store and will have to spend more than the credit is worth, seems fishy to me, as a $5 or even $20 difference are not going ot buy much if anything, so it is ensuring that you shop there again, you cant even give it away, as it is a credit and not on a card. And I am willing to bet they will be perfectly happy to let you buy something that is going on sale the next day without telling you that.

Not so good of a deal, sorry

it depends on how you look at it, no you don’t get money back, like you would with a price adjustment, but some people do not bother to go back for price adjustments and that’s how the store makes extra money, so this enables those to get their money back. And yes the money you get back can only be used for future purchases, so if you rack them up you can get something for nothing with it.

I think its a great idea! It would be a nice surprise, especially since I don’t frequent the Gap often enough to see a price drop, and if I do, I’m unlikely to go back with my bill and/or merchandise for the money back. But I always buy stuff on sale — I wonder if that means there will be less sales?
