This is a US only deal

  2. Rai says:

You cannnot put this on your Starbucks card in Canada. You need to have a Starbucks card in the US to use this. BEWARE!

    • FallenPixels says:

You can certainly use it in Canada, I use US discounted gift cards here on a regular basis

  3. Scarecrow says:

Thanks for wasting my time and money , I can’t cancel my order or use it.

  4. Boo Radley says:

Although this deal is meant for US it *CAN* be used normally in Canada. The balance will be in USD but when you do a purchase in Canada it will be converted automatically.

So in a nutshell: this does work in Canada

  5. Boo Radley says:

    Scarecrow you CAN use it.

  6. Scarecrow says:

Ok, I didn’t try to use it on it’s own, I tried to load it onto my current card which they won’t let you do. Hopefully it’ll work today.

    • Brenda says:

It will work but you have to print the e-gift card you cannot transfer it to your Canadian Starbucks card

      • FallenPixels says:

@Brenda, you may not be able to transfer it, but you can add the number to your app account and use it as normal

  7. Scarecrow says:

After conversion $15 CDN is only worth $11.25 so this isn’t much of a deal.

  8. jillyfree says:

You can definitely use it. I usually print out the egift card and use that to buy a Canadian gift card at starbucks. You can then load the Canadian gift card onto your existing account if you like.

  9. Boo Radley says:

It’s $15 USD which is actually $19.93 CDN

So basically you get $19.93 CDN worth of Starbucks for $13.28 CDN. Hence saving $6 CDN.

  10. philip says:

This may be a US only deal but you can add this card to the app, as a second card. It may be in USD but when you make your purchase it converts it to CDN dollars.

  11. Jonathan says:

The e-gift card can be used in Canada, BUT the exchange rate that Starbucks Canada uses at the cash register is HORRIBLE and not in your favor.

Market rate of $15 USD is about $19.20 CAD, but no business gets market rate. Instead businesses get the bank rate, which is typically 3-5 points lower, and then the businesses adds another 5-10 points on it. in the end you are barely getting $15 CAD out of a $15 USD e-gift card.

    • RON says:

Jonathan – you have no idea what you are talking about. Starbucks is currently converting a $15usd card to $19.93cdn.

  12. adora says:

Didn’t realized it was a US deal. 🙁 Currently stucked in gif tcard limbo…

Far more hassle than it is worth.

Besides, Virgin Mobile customers get CAD$15 gc for $10 every 2 weeks.

  13. RON says:

This is NOT a ‘Groupon Canada’ offer as shown in the heading. It is a Groupon USA offer that will work in Canada.

  14. Michael says:

Thank you Mr Busy for posting this great deal! I love saving on Starbucks.

People need to simmer down! This was EASY to purchase, EASY to add to my Canadian Starbucks account. If THIS was too hard for you, maybe smartcanucks isn’t a website you should use. I’ve certainly had a harder time saving less money!

    • FallenPixels says:

Adding a US card is easy, but the droid app will not allow transfers while some iOS will (you can also go into the store and they can combine cards to one account)

  15. jo says:

You paid $10CAD to get $15USD which equal to $19.93 when you add the card to your Canadian Starbucks App. You can use the card and the fund in Canada. YOU ONLY CANNOT TRANSFER THE FUND TO YOUR CANADIAN GOLD/REGISTERED STARBUCKS CAD CARD

  16. Cari says:

Yeah I had NO issues at all. Bought and applied to my Canadian Starbucks account. Converted to 19.93 automatically. Easy peasy 🙂

Not an amazing deal because they used to do $5 for a $10 gift card, but saving money nonetheless.

  17. Scarecrow says:

Ya it worked for me and as Boo said it gave me an opening balance of $19.93 CDN at the cost of $10 US which is a good deal. Thanks.

  18. kerry says:

Didn’t work for me,I got an error message, saying we cannot accept cards from different markets.I have two choices now, take the voucher to a starbucks,or phone up Starbucks Customer Service,to see if they can transfer the amount onto my registered card.

    • FallenPixels says:

You can use it as a separate card, just add the card to your account to make sure you earn stars on purchases with that card

  19. kerry says:

I took in the printed groupon to my local starbucks today, with no problem, they even converted the exchange rate, and added the amount to my registered card.On another note, why are all these spam messages, being allowed. They just direct you to a merchandise website,in the orient.
