Happy Canada Day! Enjoy Your Long Weekend

On behalf of the Smart Canucks team Happy Canada Day weekend.  I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.   Please remember to arrive alive and do not drink and drive.

Do you have any plans for the long weekend? Taking in some fireworks? Headed to the cottage?

Will be hitting downtown Ottawa to be swarmed by mobs of people. I have people visiting from London, Ont and London England so I want them to experience Canada Day in the capital. Crazy times to be experienced.

I get to work on Canada Day….but do not get stat pay because July 2nd is the stat??? BRUTAL!!! How that is fair to those of us who have to work the actual date is beyond me.

Canada Day is also hubby’s birthday, so we’re doing whatever he wants to today! Lucky guy gets fireworks every year 😉

Some people in the New City of Hamilton thought it was a swell idea to light fireworks after midnight and 1am today. Seriously, there is a 11pm noise bylaw in the city.
The earlier fireworks held by neighbours were at dusk and except for a couple of them that sounded off/too close, they were par for course.
Did go for a walk yesterday and it was breezy in the morning but I felt wiped out by the heat later. The no-budget plan: napped and missed the Euro2012 final match.
