@ Stephania — I changed it to “Food & Drinks”. And thanks…I like these quick polls, as well.

Another missing option is entertainment. We spend most of our holiday money on events and experiences together (movies, plays, light shows, ski trip, etc), including all the extra fancy baking and meals, entertaining … our actual wrapped up gift budget is small by comparison.

Usually gifts. However, this year I have cut down my list drastically to just immediate family with a $20 limit for all but my son (who this year gets one gift only — the blackberry playbook that went on sale!)
Give to your local shelter and bring joy to women and children in need. Plus they are truly going to appreciate the thoughtfulness and caring — unlike your family members who already have WAY too much STUFF. And don’t give poor quality items to people in need, buy them something new and nice that you might want if you were in their situation

Donny68…I donate every year to the Food Bank & Goodwill also!
Voting is missing an option:
“Between Black Friday and Boxing Day sales, after spending it all on myself, there’s nothing left for anything else.”
Where’s the Alcohol/Spirits option?
P.S. I like these quick polls!
