Amy, just to clarify…I was not contradicting myself in my statement. I absolutely feel that everyone is entitled to share their opinion. I never said that everyone has to agree. Differences of opinion create lively debates and the open exchange of ideas. That’s a good thing.

By “haters” I am referring to the people who use rude and insulting language to put others down. The issue is not what people say, but how they say it. There are ways to express opinions without belittling others for doing the same.

For the record, I never said that the haters shouldn’t express themselves; I only said I “wonder why” they would. They claim this thread is such a waste of time, yet still take the time to write a post saying so. This confuses me–if I don’t enjoy reading a post I simply stop reading and move on to the next one.

As for the African American/Canadian reference, I would not call it sarcasm (which implies a certain meanness of spirit). I simply meant it as a play on words. My apologies if anyone took offence.

Boo Radley, I also agree that the guy looks very sexy and handsome! :) But if a post is going to be written with one line/link in the entry and a title like “Lululemon’s (unintentional?) Joke: Funny or Racist?” it really opens it up to interpretation…

You could certainly see your skills in the paintings you write. The world hopes for more passionate writers such as you who are not afraid to say how they believe. Always go after your heart.
