you are so right. I have manage to have most of the office coffee run be to mcd. I love strong coffee so to me mcd’s coffee is way better than tim’s (or the tim’s next to my work)

Ed, if you order a size bigger than small, they just charge you the extra $0.19 (or whatever the difference is, as between the size you ordered, and a small). At least that’s what they did for me…

yay! you guys posted this deal! i happened to pass by a McD’s in walmart Tuesday night and saw this promotion. I’m so happy, ever since I had my first cup of the new and improved McD’s coffee, I loved it! Love the roasty taste!

I ordered a medium today and got it free! Although they said if I got a combo they wouldn’t be able to give me the coffee for free and just charge for the breakfast sandwich and hash brown. Does this make sense to anyone?

Our McD’s doesn’t charge extra for a large anyway. They also have decaf now.

@ Maria: Getting a breakfast combo is cheaper than getting a hash brown, coffee, and sandwich by individually by itself, of course.
But the combos have the drink, hash brown, and sandwich prices all combined.
If they charged you for just the hash brown and sandwich (sandiwich is like 2 something and hash brown is like 1 something)
I think it’s a tad more expensive than the meal.
But you could try it, prices differ at different places.
You can order just a hash brown and a sandwich, depending on the location, it might be cheaper.

I went this morning and asked if it was any size and was told only small, when I got to the drive thru window I asked again and mentioned about paying the difference between another size…the lady at was terribly rude and just snapped the sign says smalls only! I am trying again tomorrow, it is great coffee!

I went to our today and so did my mom and aunt and we all got larges and they were free. We expected to pay the difference from a small but nope„they were even telling people would you like a free any size coffee today…awesome!!

Different McDonalds do things differently, but that’s how it works at my store.

My location also gives any size all day long. I am a huge TH believer free or not I refused to go to Mcdonalds for a coffee. Until this morning I thought I would try it plus I was running late and there was a huge lineup at Timmies. I must say Kudos to Mcdonalds there Coffee is actually great. I remember in the past it was horrible. If McDonalds can hang on to this new blend they have I will be a continuous customer.

Mc Donald’s makes me sick on a normal day, but this next plot is pretty low. I’m not amused. I don’t think its very ‘smart’ to be marketing to kids (their largest share of revenue). This is the first time in history that we’ll see this generation of kids dying before their parents because of type II diabetes. This is smart? Do you know what this costs our health care system? I work in a high school and I see ever second kid walking around with their ‘coffee’ in one hand and at big mac in the other. Come on, people! Think!!

Well the McDonalds closest to me was only offering the small for free as per the advertisement…however, the one a little further away when I asked, said it was offering ANY size free at that location…so I got the Large whenever I was around there…got my last free Lg tonight, gonna miss that freebie, lol

Coffee are dirt cheap (avg 15 cents a cup at the most) way to get people in to the store. I really like this idea!! My McDonald next to my work would give me a large for free!!

its over but here in London Ontario it didn’t matter what size it was free.. we got two combos and was offered a free coffee.. it was small.. but my girlfriend and i went through the drive-thru separately and asked for a large and it was free both times. weren’t charged the difference.
YA its about time someone took on Tim Horton.. back in Kingston my hometown.. there was a country style at a strip mall kind of thing, main attraction there is the bingo hall so non stop customers, all of a sudden Tim Hortons opened a store directly across the street and now they get most if not all of the business.. really made me ‘mad’ and everyone else around that they would do that.. so i am very happy to read that everyone likes McDonald’s coffee and hates Tim Horton’s. one thing i hate about Tim Horton’s is there horrible service (SLOW!)
note it was the only country style in Kingston.. and i notice there is only one in London.. its the same thing that walmart and the big name stores have done to small businesses, they are smart but its just rude lol
Yes I agree Macdonalds coffee is great. Its by far the best easily availible coffee when travelling in the United States. However in both Canada and the US I have a problem with their delivery of the product. At Timmies when I order I simply say “Large coffee with milk only” and I get my coffee quick and easy. The same 5 words at MacDonalds will not work. First they want to know if its to go, then they tell me they have no milk only creamers and how many do I want? Do I want the creamers or can they put it in? If I want the creamers they give me them in a bag with a napkin, what a waste. Then they ask if I want sugar? NO I JUST WANT A COFFEE WITH MILK, Is that so hard?
Free coffee? It is all about specialty coffee right now. Once you drink the good stuff, there is no going back. Ronald McDonald will never be my barista.Just give me some yummy fries and Super-size it! Throw in a hot apple pie and I am a happy girl.
