McDonald’s Canada Recall: 3.6 Million Activity Wristbands Recalled Due To Skin Irritation and Burning!

Announcements

step-it

McDonald’s Canada is recalling 3.6 million activity wristbands due to potential skin rashes and skin burns; these activity trackers were included in Happy Meals as part of a child fitness promotion between August 9 and August 17, 2016. The recall was issued after approximately 70 people across the US and Canada experienced skin irritation (rashes, burns, and blisters) after using the activity trackers. The two recalled items are below:

  • The Activity Counter features a digital screen that tracks a child’s steps.
  • The Light-Up Band lights up when a child moves around.

If you received one of these activity wristbands in your Happy Meal, you’re advised to return it to your local McDonald’s as soon as possible in exchange for a replacement toy as well as a yogurt tube or bag of apple slices. Let us know in the comments below if your child experienced any problems with these McDonald’s wristbands!
