McDoalds and Wendys have their Halloween coupons available for sometime now.  I thought I would mention them for any one who may not be aware and give you the break down down of what you get for your purchase at both restaurants.

At McDonalds in your coupon booklet for trick or treaters you will receive coupons for:

2 small soft drinks, 2 small cones and 2 small fries.  Not to shabby for only $1.00.

The Coupons are only valid for children 12 and under.  Limit one coupon per visit.

Wendys coupon booklets are only $2.00.

With your $2.00 booklet purchase you receive 8 coupons.  4 coupons for 3.2 oz kids fries and 4 coupons for a 6 oz Jr frosty.

The Wendy’s coupons have no age limit so even adults can use them.  These coupons expire December 31st 2011.

So whether you’re looking for something to fill those Halloweeners buckets with or if you just want to grab a snack for yourself check out these coupons as they are a pretty good deal either way.

Isnt it bad enough we hand out candy in the first place? Now they want us to hand out McDonalds and Wendys coupons!!! Because lets face it…no one just gets 1 cone, or 1 small fry.….their parents buy more.…GROSS!!!! Encouraging our kids to eat that junk is not my idea of a good halloween treat.
My mom used to order toys from her medical office catalogue, and hand them out instead of candy.
This year I bought small tubs of play-doh (20 for $5.00) from RCSS and plan to give those out (with 1 candy also, because Im not a total grinch)

I bought the Wendy’s coupons. The money raised from them goes to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

Giving out candy is not a bad thing. Eating all the candy in two days is a bad thing. We let our kids fill up a large Ziploc bag with their favourite Halloween candy, give away the rest, and they get to choose one after supper (if they eat their supper) every day until it’s gone, or until they quit asking (which usually comes first).

They’re four and six right now so hopefully we can get away with that structure for a few more years!

I’m not sure I like the idea of giving out coupons that inspire the kids to eat out at Wendy’s four times in the next two months.

We generally give out granola bars for hallowe’en. I’d consider doing the Wendy’s or McD’s coupons if they were for the apple slices or milk or juice or something like that, but I draw the line when they’re for the junkiest of the junk food options at these restaurants!

I was at McDonald’s a few days ago and the girl working didn’t know anything about these coupons. I’ve been getting them for the past few years at the same location. Has anyone else had this experience?

i went to the metrotown mcdonalds a few days ago and they said they are not selling it this year too, has anyone actually seen them at mcdonalds this year?

First, sorry i just have to say…not everything has to be healthy…really. It’s a treat.

Also, I tried to find the coupon books at McDonalds yesterday for my nieces and nephew and they didn’t have them and didn’t know if any other stores had them either. This is in the lower mainland, BC. Disappointed, but i think this same thing happened last year.

Asked a few McDonald’s in the lower mainland and all of them told me they don’t have them at their location. Weird, I bought these last year and the year before.

I bought some McDonald’s books and sent them to my little neice since I won’t be there to see her. I know her parents will take her there for a treat, a coffee for them and a chance for her to play in the playland that she loves. Given that coffee is free for the next week or so, it will be a free little outing for them and for her to have some fun!!

  12. Milo

I went to Wendy’s today to buy them and they said they weren’t doing them this year?? So weird!

  13. Mist_ynight

I saw them at Wendy’s this year but not McDonald’s. I didn’t ask about them so maybe they did have them. I usually buy them and put them in the treat bags I make up for the kids in my class. I didn’t do that this year cause I didn’t see them.

the Mc donald ones do not expire at all because it is conisdered a gift certificate and they are not suppose to have expiry dates on them anymore. That’s what the lady at mc donalds told me.

The McDs coupons say you can only use one coupon per purchase and i have two kids who both got 3 each. (cone, drink and fries) I’m suppossed to go 6 times to use all these???? I think not.

The McDonald’s Halloween coupons DO NOT EXPIRE. I called the McDonalds corporate office and the customer relations rep told me that it does not expire as it has no expiration date printed on it. I heard on the radio that some McDonalds are putting their own expiry date on it by not accepting it after November. They should not be doing that.
