Keep a close eye on the pricing in the seasonal section of your Walmart Canada as it is that time of year when you can score some excellent clearance deals! Our forum member Patty Smyth has gotten some great buys in the past couple of weeks, and although I have been monitoring the prices of the same items at my local Walmart, I haven’t been quite as lucky just yet, but possibly others will be able to find these same deals.

Pictured above is a lion’s head fountain, approximately three feet tall, and regularly priced at $166. Patty Smyth was able to get the fountain on clearance for just $62.50, a savings of more than $100!

Also, keep an eye out for these planters pictured above. Regularly priced at $48, these have been spotted on clearance for just $10. These are very heavy and solid planters making them an incredible deal at $10! Other planters priced at $35 have been marked down to $8, and select planters priced at $25 are now just $5. Keep in mind of course that these deals will vary by store, and some seem to be clearing things out ahead of others. If there are items you are interested in be sure to keep an eye on them  as they will likely drop in price soon, and be sure to scan the item just in case it is on clearance, but has not yet been ticketed as such.

While many of will have enough Lysol No Touch systems to last a life time from past rebate offers, if you do want another one, or want some cash back from a minimum spend offer, SmartSource.ca has refreshed their Lysol No Touch rebate form.

Purchase a Lysol No Touch Hand Soap System (refills do not count) and get up to $16.94 back to cover the retail price plus taxes when you buy between August 3rd and October 31st.  Your form must be received, not just postmarked, by November 30th.  Once you mail your form, your rebate will be processed in 6-8 weeks and sent as a cheque.  Lysol No Touch Systems are usually priced at around $15 but regularly go on sale.

It looks like the next wave of President’s Choice products is about to hit the shelves at Shoppers Drug Mart as we have been told that there are Life Brand household products marked down at many Shoppers Drug Mart stores ahead of the change.

As always, clearance will vary greatly as stores may get their PC products at different times and have a higher turnover on household items, but it is worth scanning Life Brand household items to see if they are marked down at your store but not indicated on the shelf tags.  Here are some of the deals Nancy found at her store:

• Life brand laundry detergent $0.50
• Various packs of light bulbs $1.10 including long lasting
• Dish detergent $0.50
• Glass cleaner $0.71

The laundry detergent was only marked down to $1 at my store and already sold out and the light bulbs at mine were priced $1.10 to $4 depending on the type.  There was no Life dish soap and glass cleaner was full price.   None of the BioLife products seemed to be on sale, but let us know if they go on sale at yours so other SmartCanuckers can check!

Like last year, Roots are celebrating their anniversary with a huge discount on their signature sweats.  Since it is their 42nd anniversary, this year they will be offering 42% off all sweats on Thursday 13th August.
