I just wanted to say for anyone who hasn’t seen the Planet Earth DVD series, it is AMAZING!!! It is full of incredible things that may never be seen again and lots of things that probably wont be around by the time our children are grown. I paid full price for it 2 yrs ago and then shortly after bought the Blue Planet series also at full price, and I fully believe they were worth every penny. The amazon deal seems to be a great price for a show that will NOT disappoint, I promise. It would make a great gift for anyone! I don’t usually feel inclined to share my opinion of products but I think that everyone should see this series!!

ya i agree, i am not a nature show watcher but i couldnt turn this off it was so good. it is amazing.

IS Planet Earth similiar to the Imax Ultimate Collection?
I ask because Costco has the Imax one on sale for $39.99 and I was debating about getting that one.

I think the Imax collection has a lot of space stuff in it. Planet Earth is all about our planet and the plants and animals on it. Some examples of things you’ll see are a Slow motion shot of a Great White leaping out to snatch a seal out of mid air and a night shot of a group of 10+ lions taking down a full size elephant. It really is nature at its most horrifying and beautiful at the same time. There was one part where a grey whale mama is trying to get here new baby to the feeding grounds all the while being stalked and terrorized by killer whales that brings me to tears just thinking about it. OK I’m done with my raving, can you tell how much I like this show?
This is a really great deal. Thank you for posting it! I ordered it on Blu-Ray, and I don’t even have a BR player yet. Yet being the keyword.
