Second Cup Canada: Get A Free 4 Oz. Chiller With SPC Card (June 30, 2011 Only)

scup_en_v1*Sample  offer is only valid on June 30th, 2011 and limited to one 4 oz. sample size Chiller per customer at participating locations while supplies last.

This came in an email from SPC so I’ll assume you have to present your SPC card in order to get your free sample. I’ve never tried a Chiller from Second Cup before so I like this “try before you buy” freebie.  They come in White Chocolate, White & Dark Chocolate, White Mocha, and Raspberry Tea. I think I’ll try White Mocha, sounds yummy! If you do like the Chiller, they are only $2.95 each for a medium on Tuesdays until August 30th, 2011.

Do you know if we have to print the coupon in the email too or do we just show our SPC card?

  2. Tania says:

The $2.95 Chiller every Tuesday is valid for everyone, or SPC holders only?

  3. Marilu says:

    What is SPC? :-/

@Tania – $2.95 chiller Tuesday is for everyone (@ participating locations)

Mixed feelings on this “freebie” for SPC card holders.
    4oz = 1/2cup.
Sure, free is free. But unlike the little slurpees on 7-eleven day (coming up soon!) where the slush is premade and available in large quantities, these chiller drinks take a while to get mixed up (think: powder + milk + ice + grinding)

Is 4oz worth standing in line, explaining to barista, waiting for it to get made? Or will they be premade… and “melty”?

Will they even know how to properly bring the ingredient portions down to 1/3 size of their small size for individual orders? Or will they simply make one small batch and pour into 3 sample cups. In which case, wouldn’t it be a better marketing tool for the samples to be available for all?

Is it just me? I can’t find “SPC” on that ad.
    and how large 4oz.?
I tried their chiller on Tuesdays, there’s no coffee in them, so I order with a shot of espresso in it. Some charge extra 50cent and some don’t charge.

Last year and this year, I have not seen the Second Cup coupon that allowed coupon bearer a free drink-usually came out around this time of year.

The half cup sample must be the “new” freebie.

  7. Chris says:

They premade them and put them on a tray for people to take. its the size of a shot glass…

A friend and I went to two locations downtown Toronto and they said they were finished with the deal. Apparently, it was only during the morning, or so they said. It was disappointing.
