Sephora Canada: Exclusive V.I.B. Holiday Shopping Event 20% off

So this spe­cial runs two ways, you can get 20% off if you are a Sephora V.I.B. mem­ber between Nov 13–15.

How­ever, if you aren’t a mem­ber (you need to spend a cer­tain amount at sephora to become one) you can get the sav­ings too! On Nov 12 between 4-9pm you can share your V.I.B. dis­count with oth­ers who are not V.I.B. and get the same dis­count! This is on for 5 hours only!

You must bring the email into the store to get the dis­count. For online, just use the code “V324HW”. I think it is lim­ited to one friend per invite, so you may want to find a Sephora friend to get the discount.

    That’s actu­ally really interesting..I got a coupon too. I haven’t bought any­thing at Sephora — I’m just a beauty insider. My coupon says “Novem­ber 12–15″ to share with a friend on Fri­day Novem­ber 13, 2009 from 6-9pm.
    I think you have to go with your friend…and isn’t it weird that the times are dif­fer­ent?? How strange.

    And ya I think you do have to go with the VIB person.

    I am a VIB but I don’t have any emails about it cuz I signed up instore… I won­der how that works then…

    Jus­tine, your fine print sounds like the US ver­sion which is on Thurs­day. I got the Cana­dian ver­sion which is the same as Starri Kari’s. It doesn’t say any­thing about the dis­count apply­ing online, and the spe­cial event time is Friday.

    I’d be inter­ested how non VIBs got that same email though…I’m a VIB so I’d feel a lit­tle less spe­cial if all Beauty Insid­ers did get the email whether or not they have VIB sta­tus. lol :P

    I have only shopped sephora online, so I don’t have an actual phys­i­cal card, but I am a VIB. that’s weird that I would get an amer­i­can one although we order from the same site so… it could work, sorry for the confusion!

    oh and beauty inside and VIB are two dif­fer­ent things, any­one can be a “beauty insider” that just means you are signed up with the sephora web­site and get their mailings.

    VIB is spend­ing I think it’s $350 a year to get spe­cial emails and offers that reg­u­lar mem­bers do not get.

    I’m a Beauty Insider, as is a friend of mine. She received the same email as Starri Kari’s, and I didn’t! She said she’d bring me on Fri­day for the Friend event, but I can’t go. :(

    I won­der if this email is ran­domly sent? She received hers yes­ter­day, and I haven’t got­ten one. If any of you aren’t going to use yours, hook me up! :)

    The emails have your BI card # on it, so it’s only spe­cific to the per­son who holds that card. In the­ory, you can trans­fer the email to some­one else to use as long as that per­son doesn’t use their own BI card for the trans­ac­tion. The prob­lem with trans­fer­ring that email to strangers is that now some­one else has access to your BI num­ber and can go ahead and redeem your points.

    I have a BI card but dont think I have achieved VIB sta­tus. I received the same email but am so con­fused as to when I can use the coupon! I want to go tonight if pos­si­ble but dont under­stand the fine print…

    Is there an online code that Cana­di­ans can use? I am only a beauty insider and didn’t get the email. I tried to use the code for online listed above, but said for US only. Is there one on the email for Canada that can be used by any­one??? Thanks!

    Used mine today — I’m $75 poorer now :( their fes­tive stuff is pretty neet (body lotions and all)

    I was won­der­ing as I read and reread my email, there is no price limit but is there a num­ber of time of trans­ac­tions? Is it a one time pur­chase only or can one go as many times as one wants as long as it’s between novem­ber 12–15?

    I went today and they gave me back the email to use as many times as I want over the week­end. Also, I don’t have VIB sta­tus, but I got the email any­way and I still received the 20% off.

    I have two issues:
    1. No 20% dis­count for Cana­dian online orders (not fair)
    2. The US & Cana­dian rates havent been adjusted still.….

    Bet­ter for me to just go to the USA to shop…

    I knew it, the sales­girl kept my email after I used it and when I asked her, she said it was a one time use only, but when I got home, I read the fine prints and it said she had to give it back to me, urghhh!!! Thanks for answer­ing!!! I know I hate cana­dian rates ver­sus amer­i­can, so unfair and not reflec­tive of the exchange rates at all, plus when you think about our taxes, I wish I could cross the bor­der and shop there.

    Is that image above what needs to be brought in? I’m just ask­ing because there’s not bar code on it… I’m kind of annoyed; I’ve been a VIB since April and didn’t get this email!

    Hi Melanie, you need the orig­i­nal email since it has in the bot­tom both a bar code for your BI account num­ber and then another bar code for the 20% off. If you didn’t get the email, I sug­gest you go and demand your fair share =)

    Just an FYI to everyone.

    I didn’t get an email and called the 1–877# on the back of my BI card. They were not able to do any­thing except offer me the online code (which doesn’t work in Canada) as the email is com­puter gen­er­ated and appar­ently can’t be resent. So I called both my local stores and after ver­i­fy­ing my VIB sta­tus on their com­put­ers they were both will­ing to offer me the 20% off.

    So call your local store if you didn’t get an email!!
