Wow, I don’t know about the rest of you smartcanuckers – but Shoppers just doesn’t seem to be as good as it was before Loblaw bought it. Prices are higher and there aren’t nearly as many rewards. Tim cards, gas cards, Shoppers cards….Thank you though to those who post the flyers. It’s much appreciated!

They do seem to be concentrating more on personalized Optimum offers, but I have earned more points since they took over. I get 6k when you spend $20 on food/snacks regularly. That is $12 back for spending $20. Nowhere else offers that kind of return

That’s a pretty good Optimum offer on 20 of snacks – although 6k points is actually 7.50, still a great offer. The offer’s I seem to get are points on price hiked items or 1.00 off of things that aren’t on sale. Personally I’ve just noticed a decline in their incentives and seen the prices creeping up. Having said that, it was reported that grocery items would see an increase of 5% this year, maybe Shoppers just started early. Enjoy your Optimum offers – you seem to get the good ones 🙂

I pop in every week and pick up the cheap stuff, but it is mostly food (milk is always cheapest there for example) so I get a lot of food offers. I get 16k WUS $60 at least every 2nd week too, $33 back on $60 is excellent if I need enough to use it
