When did Sobeys start accepting Air Miles?
Sobeys has been accepting Air Miles cards for years.
As long as I can remember shopping there (about 5 years now)
Maybe this is only at a couple stores?

I’ve never seen a Sobey’s with AirMiles accepted.Rather they are partnering with Aeroplan shortly.
in nova scotia it’s 1 air mile for 20 dollars spent.. heard about the 10|% off, pretty sure it works for students in halifax, not sure about elsewhere though

Sobeys in Ontario does not do air miles.
Plus this deal is for APRIL.
It’s good until the end of april, so from sept 1st until april 30th…again its selected stores. Some stores do airmiles, while others do aeroplan…stores in Atlantic Canada don’t have aeroplan, instead its airmiles.
i work at sobeys in halifax… you just go to the office and request the flyer for 10 percent off student tuesdays… they will give it to you, the cashier will scan that and your air miles… and check your airmiles against your student ID. they will continue to check the name on the id and airmiles every tuesday you come and if you have an airmiles then you will automatically recieve 10 percent off.
It’s interesting, but it’s be nice to know which stores are participating.
Also, if they ask for student ID, don’t they know that you gotta be over 18 to have an air miles card?
The confusion comes from the fact that in Ontario and Western Canada Sobeys DOES NOT participate in AirMiles, while in Atlantic Canada, they do. When Sobeys bought out Oshawa Food Group, those areas already had grocery stores (Dominion/A&P and Safeway) with the AirMiles program. In NL, NS, PE, and NB Oshawa had the AirMiles program, and Sobeys took it over. Since they can’t do AirMiles in Ontario and the West, they’ve re-started Club Sobeys (we used to have that in NS when I was a kid) and partnered with Air Canada Aeroplan.
I can also verify that they offer they were offering the student discount in Halifax this September, but that might only be because of the high student population

Well I can confirm that this sale is at least recognized in Windsor, Ontario, and on Tuesdays AND Thursdays – and it doesn’t require Air Miles in Windsor, just a ‘Club Sobey’s’ card with your student card. It had a full-page ad in my University’s paper this month.
I just received the 10% discount at Sobeys in Dartmouth, NS. The discount is supposed to be available at all Sobeys stores in NS. The first time you are in they have to scan your AirMiles card, Student ID and their own Student SKU card. That registers you in their system as a student so you should just have to give them your AirMiles and Student ID every other time. 10% discount is available on Tuesdays but you must spend a minimum of 25$. Apparently some Superstores are offering the same deal but I can’t find much info about this online. I think the Antigonish (NS) and Halifax Barrington Street (NS) stores are giving 10% off on Tuesdays. I plan to stop by the Barrington Street store after work today and will post what I learn.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in St Catharines ON is 10% off at Sobeys. I go there for every grocery trip and get 10% off every time.
