If enough people do not buy, the buy is cancelled and you are not charged for the item. There is also another similar website… Team Buy… same sort of concept.

SJ is correct– if there aren’t enough buyers for the deal to activate, you simply aren’t charged anything and the deal is off.
The transactions only run after the timer has expired– you won’t be charged anything unless the deal is on at the end of the sale.

@ tartine. The problem with recently launched team save is all their deals are from the other group buy sites like webpiggy, who have already established themselves. It seems a little late in the game for a new company to take a stab at it.

Groupon.com (the guys who originally came up with this idea in the US) advertise on SC all the time, so I guess theyre coming to Toronto too.
The teamsave.com guys were on that dragons den show before so they seem to be the most experienced operators of all the Canadian sites.
Theres so many of them now though that i’m sure some of them won’t be able to stay in business

I’ve been using webpiggy for a while and I would definitely recommend this site to other torontonians. I always have one of their vouchers in my purse..lol
