This is better than the Second Cup deal. (Reload $30, get a med. latte)
    But I prefer Second Cup…

After money went missing from my starbucks card, I have decided not to use the incentive card and just stick with cash. I wish they would just have a points card that did not need money on it — although if money goes missing off cards, I guess it could benefit the company in the long run since it will be unused credit.

If your card is registered you can go onto your account on their web site and see the days and amounts money was taken off your card.

I use the iPhone app as an automated card. You can always see how much money is left on your card and you can reload anywhere, anytime!

When I went on their website, I couldn’t see anywhere it says you get a bonus 5 bucks on your registered card when paying with your visa, however I reloaded anyway but still it didn’t say anything about getting 5 bucks added later on. I saw the tweets, but again saw nothing on the website. Very confusing.

They provided a link with information, “Click here for more information on this deal” It says right on there the $5 will be added the week of Feb. 13.

I try to brew at home to save money but have the odd Starbucks. Think I may treat myself to a latte instead of a pike place. :)

    FULL DETAILS:
Careful, how I’m reading the post is not the same as the email I received from Starbuck. It is not just a $25 reload, you actually have to set up automatic reload of min $25.
Here are the “Terms” from the email

*To be eligible for the $5 offer, you must sign up for Auto-Reload at Starbucks.com/Card by February 7, 2012. You also must complete at least one Auto-Reload transaction for a minimum of $25 by February 29th, 2012. You’ll receive a $5 bonus load within 10 business days of your first completed Auto-Reload transaction. Only one $5 bonus per account allowed.

    Hope this helps everyone.

I looked at my email again and I found only these terms in small print:

*To be eligible for the $5 offer, you must reload your Starbucks Card for a minimum of $25 on Starbucks.com/Card by February 7, 2012. Only one $5 bonus per account allowed. Bonus will be applied to reloaded card during the week of February 13, 2012.

Nowhere is auto-reload mentioned in the email, so I hope that honour any reloads which are $25 and over. It would be very misleading if this offer was for auto-reloads only!
