Starbucks Canada is offering an extra $5 to your account when you use your Visa to reload your Starbucks Card with $25 or more. You must reload online before February 7, 2012. Your bonus $5 will show up the week of February 13, 2012.

After money went missing from my starbucks card, I have decided not to use the incentive card and just stick with cash. I wish they would just have a points card that did not need money on it — although if money goes missing off cards, I guess it could benefit the company in the long run since it will be unused credit.

I use the iPhone app as an automated card. You can always see how much money is left on your card and you can reload anywhere, anytime!

When I went on their website, I couldn’t see anywhere it says you get a bonus 5 bucks on your registered card when paying with your visa, however I reloaded anyway but still it didn’t say anything about getting 5 bucks added later on. I saw the tweets, but again saw nothing on the website. Very confusing.

Careful, how I’m reading the post is not the same as the email I received from Starbuck. It is not just a $25 reload, you actually have to set up automatic reload of min $25.
Here are the “Terms” from the email
*To be eligible for the $5 offer, you must sign up for Auto-Reload at Starbucks.com/Card by February 7, 2012. You also must complete at least one Auto-Reload transaction for a minimum of $25 by February 29th, 2012. You’ll receive a $5 bonus load within 10 business days of your first completed Auto-Reload transaction. Only one $5 bonus per account allowed.

Nowhere is auto-reload mentioned in the email, so I hope that honour any reloads which are $25 and over. It would be very misleading if this offer was for auto-reloads only!
