I am on my way to try one of your FREE breakfast sandwiches, however when I tried to find the closest store using YOUR locator, I had NO success, I live in Welland, Ontario, L3C 7J2 and it posted NO results? I know of at least four locations in Welland, however your locator found NONE?

  2. Bytown

    Tom Bacolini,

It does work if you actually read.

Put Welland for city and where it says State/Province… it also clearly states “Use two character abbreviation”. So that would be “ON”.

    Don’t use the Postal code.

You’ll find 5 restaurants open and one not.

  3. denise

Just had my FREE breakie! Yea! It included the sandwich, bigger than expected coffee & a yogurt parfait. Sweet!!!

    denise :)

  4. Ron

Go figure! This offer is not available in Quebec. Distinct society indeed!

  5. M&M

I went in there and they were asking for a coupon.. where can I get the coupon?

  6. Kim

I got one in Ottawa this morning. It was mass-produced and not very good… but it was free, and nice to try.

  7. Samantha C

My store was not giving out coffee, and you couldn’t put any veggies on your sandwich (just mayo, pepper & salt). But overall can’t complain about a free sandwich :) !!

  8. sweetiedeals

I got mine, took 25 minutes in line…which is fine, I was hungry:) but they asked everyone if they wanted a hashbrown, and then tried to charge us for it??? I just took my sandwich and coffee. Good promo for those who haven’t tried Subway yet.

  9. $avvy$hopper

Got mine this morning. A very quiet store…even the staff commented that there wasn’t the same rush at their store this time around compared to last year. Loved the sandwich and coffee…had never tried brekkie at Subway so this was a welcome promo.

  10. Meredith

Went to the location at Warden and Steeles in Markham. Waited for about 7 minutes and couldn’t put any veggies on my sandwich except for lettuce and tomato. Also had no milk or cream for coffee. On the plus side, they did make one without ham for me and it was Free. Would i go back, no, but it was worth trying

  11. Bubzy

I got a sandwich today with a coffee. The egg was really thin, and they only used one thin slice of ham. I got cucumbers and green peppers with mayo as my topping but it was very bland-tasting. Not worth the regular price $. They loss big time on this promo. I recommend they use butter on the English muffin and toast it, like mcdonalds does it.

  12. ChefSteph

I love Subway, but I wasn’t a huge fan of their breakfast sandwich. I do however LOVE their coffee! YUM! And not to mention the new insulated coffee cup and dome lid with a sliding lid to keep my coffee hot. Big fan!

  13. Stephania

The store was full, but there wasn’t a line. Sandwiches were pre-made, only selection of English Muffin/pita. Took a sip of the coffee and it was Taster’s Choice/Maxwell House…instead. Definitely NOT “Seattle’s Best”!

Sandwich was larger than I expected. Bland, but hopefully that means that there aren’t a bunch of chemicals in it.

If there’s no wait-time, it does the job!

  14. Abbie

Not much of a wait for mine. They were putting whatever you wanted on it. Mine was cold though, gross… cold egg.

  15. lisa

    I went to the one @ Yonge/King around 9 but the line-up was too long, went again @ 9:45 & they we’re all out…

  16. mommmy2alayna

I walked over with my 2 kids this morning just a few minutes before 10. We were handed 3 breakfast FPCs by an employee who told us that she was pretty sure they were done with this promo for the day, but I was welcome to go in and ask anyway. We did and it was still running, so we got our free sandwiches today, plus have coupons for another day. Not the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had, but not bad for free :)

  17. new 2 sc

I was there when they opened, and there was quite a big line. but not long wait. They were made fresh and toasted, and you can get what ever you want on it. I thought i was delish!! The coffee wasnt that great but I was really impressed with the sandwhich

  18. FDF

i went to the one on Martingrove & Rexdale (TO) this morning. hardly any wait good coffee sandwich not so god. But you cant beat the price.

  19. Tina

No line at my local Ottawa branch. Sandwich was toasted and could put what we wanted in it, including sauces. Coffee was ok.

  20. Samantha C

Ha apparently I went to the only place not offering any toppings. I think that has to do with management, not the promo though.

  21. ADS

Mine was great! Only waited about 5 mins and you could get whatever you wanted on it. I had the flatbread, which I thought was great! They used two pieces of their eggs for each sandwich and automatically toasted them to melt the cheese and warm up the egg.
Coffee was hot and there was lots of cream, etc for it. Staff was very friendly too!
I’d totally go back for one!

  22. ADS

this was west coast BC too — apparently much different than others seem to have experienced.

  23. shigamonkey2008

Went with my mom at the Markham Rd and 14th location. No line up since the area was pretty quiet and subway is pretty tucked in the plaza. Sandwiches were made on the spot! We asked to toast our egg muffin so it was really warm. Ham, cheese, white or yellow egg were options. Eggs look a little strange and thin (looked really flat and airy like thin styrofoam). We were also allowed to put sauce and veggies. Coffee was free as well: sugar and cream provided. Generally, I found it decent since it was free. It was warm and wasn’t overly salty or oily. Coffee was a bit normal, and did not really taste like ‘Seattle’s Best’??! Someone above mentioned the same thing. Perhaps slightly watered down today. Overall, a good free experience but not something I would generally go back to pay for.

    #### Across the street from the Subway, the Canadian Tire was also having a 5 cent sale on their gas!!! There was a flyer last week advertising it. I am not sure if it is specific locations but if you are in the area (Markham/14th) swing by. It’s from 7am-7pm supposedly. 132.1cents regularly.… 5 cents off = 127.1! for the fill up on regular fuel! They’ll have someone trying to sign you up for their cards but it’s all good. I went around 7:45am and there was no wait although it was full. There were personnel directing traffic. ####

  24. Bobby1559

The Subway breakfast this morning was great. The options were good, including flatbread or muffin, and white or yellow egg. It was not too salty and tasted very nice.…..I had no idea that vege options were also allowed as they do with their regular sub choices. Both adults and kids got a sandwich each, which was nice. The coffee, in the new insulated cup, was great too. YAY for free breakfast!!!!!!

  25. Drake

Really?? Complaining about free stuff?? Some people don’t have food on a daily basis—think about that before you complain about a free hot breakfast.

  26. Lynn

Got one this morning and it was, um, edible? Not my favourite but ok nonetheless because it was free. Otherwise, homemade are the best! (I prefer McDee’s) Lynn

  27. mydoglugnut

I went to the one at Union Station this morning. No toppings, no options other than ham and egg. No cheese. I waited over 1/2 hour but I finaly got mine. Bland but edible. I would go back to purchase, but it has to be made how I would like it. People behind the counter were disorganized and it took quite a while to get the product. For free, not bad. Not great though.

    :)

  28. Tracey H

I went to one of the Burlington ones. They asked if you wanted white and my husband said yes since he likes white bread and he got egg whites (no yolk) so lesson learned. Everyone got the same thing at ours (other than the “white” thing)–egg, ham and cheese on some kind of muffin thing and you could add toppings. The lineup for the coffee was really long so we skipped that. I didn’t know that Subway opened for breakfast so I think this was a great idea for a promo.

  29. ThinkItThrough

Drake, please consider, it’s not ‘complaining about free stuff’. This was a company promo, advertising, and people’s comments here are, essentially, reviews. Yes, if it was your mom’s kitchen and someone said these things, that would be rude and ungrateful, but that is not the case. This is not a case of Subway settiing up a soup line for starving people from the goodness of their hearts, it’s a company investing some money in advertising and if people don’t like the product, it’s important that they say that honestly so that other unsuspecting people don’t waste their hard earned cash on it. On the other hand, if they like the product they got for free and tell people about it, Subway gets more sales. It’s not personal, it’s business! ;)

  30. Mandy

My son and I got our sandwiches this morning. Only had to wait a couple minutes in line. They were out of english muffins, so we got the flatbread. We were given a choice of egg whites only or with yolk, and the sandwiches were automatically toasted. We had a full choice of toppings. Didn’t get coffee as I don’t drink it. We both really enjoyed the sandwiches. Even if we didn’t, I wouldn’t complain as it was free. Plus we got BOGO free coupons for next time.

  31. Jillian

Our subway was offering any sandwich for free (steak, bacon, ham, sausage etc) with any and all veggies and sauces, toasted or untoasted, along with coffee or tea with milk, cream sugar etc. Waited about ten minutes… only strange thing was you couldn’t get it at the drive thru and there was no sign stating this, so I had to drive around the block and re-enter in the parking lot and not the drive thru. Apparently we have a great subway operator with all the options today and the info from the other posts!

  32. J B

I too got my free brekky and coffe this morning. They had them pre-made so no toppings allowed. You had to ask for the free coffee as not everyone was aware of it. There were cream and sugar but I skipped it as the lineup was crazy. I thought the sandwich was too buttery but I would go back again. The coffee was way too strong — not the Seattle’s best that I remember when drinking it at Jack Astors. I would go back to try the coffee again to see if they are serving the same stuff — I love Seattle’s best!

  33. So So

So I will not complain. went to a mississauga location, waited 2 minutes, i found the sandwich to be bland, coffee was ok, not complaining about free, but I wouldn’t pay full price for it!

  34. Yaya

I went to the Yonge and St Clair one. It was empty! So my 6yr old and I had our free egg, cheese and ham muffins, whatever toppings we wanted and a free coffee each. (We gave my daughters coffee to a friend!) I told all my work about it so they all rushed out! Was so shocked it was completely empty though!

  35. benji

That was the worst breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.

  36. mia

I really hope for all those people who are able to getting the free breakfest enjoying yours.…I cannnot have this offer since qc not participating…completely insane last year they have participate in the promo…so people who are complaining when it’s free and qc not be able to getting in.…think about that 1 seconds please!!!
