It may not be the same worn and yellowed subway tile look that Subway Canada fans have come to be familiar with over the past 20 years, but the restaurant chain, which has long championed itself as being the “fresher” option for fast food, has decided it’s time for a change and announced on Monday that they would be unveiling a sleeker and more modern look to their retail stores.
To really drive home their “fresher image”, Subway is going to begin displaying their uncut vegetables at the front of the store. Though many customers were and still are unaware, Subway has always cut their vegetables fresh in-store.
Another new feature of Subway’s facelift is going to be the digital aspect, as they will be adding self-order kiosks to the stores so that customers can quickly and efficiently place their order or pick-up their order in a designated pre-order pick up location. You will also, as always, be able to pay for your orders with Apple and Samsung Pay options.
There are currently 12 pilot locations that have been launched across the U.S., Canada and the U.K. You can find these remodelled Subway venues at the following locations:
- Tamarac, Florida
- Orlando, Florida
- Winter Park, Florida
- Chula Vista, California
- Knoxville, Tennessee
- Palmview, Texas
- Hillsboro, Oregon
- Vancouver, Washington
- Beauport, Quebec
- Granby, Quebec
- and Manchester, U.K.
