I thought it was a Greek/Mediterranean festival.
Amy: It was once a Greek festival because there were only Greek restaurants in the area. But nowadays there’s so many different ones there (sushi, pubs, fancy places, Tim Hortons) that it’s really just a “food” festival. And they have singers and dancers from all over now.
I grew up down the street and I avoid it now during peak times. Way too many people. Go in the evenings.
The entertainment was great. Watch Friday’s opening of Taste of the Danforth: https://vimeo.com/72235856
