Good offer. I just got an email from them stating that they had a security breach:
We were recently informed by our internet hosting provider that some information stored on our secure website server was temporarily breached by unauthorized entry earlier this week.
We have investigated the matter and have determined that only names, email addresses, TeamBuy user identification, and an encrypted version of certain TeamBuy passwords were accessed during that time. However, as TeamBuy.ca does not store credit card information, no credit card or other financial information was accessed or retrieved by the unauthorized entrant. As a precautionary measure, we still recommend that you change your password on TeamBuy.ca and on other services in which you use the same password.
We are unaware whether this instance is associated with recent information security breaches reported in the media over the past week. Nonetheless, we have reported this incident to the relevant authorities to assist in their investigations.
