The Home Depot Canada has a new list of FREE workshops for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels that are going on June, July & August, 2017! The Home Depot Canada June, July & August, 2017 FREE workshops include:
- FREE Do-It-Yourself workshops help anyone kick off their project with confidence through expert instruction reference materials.
- Saturday, June 17, 2017 – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Pavestone Walkway: Laying the base, arranging paving stones. Participants will learn about the products and processes involved in successfully laying a long-lasting walkway with Pavestone brand pavers.
- Sunday, June 25, 2017 – 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM: Build a Wood Fence: Install Fence posts, rails and boards. Participants will learn how to build a fence for you home, hot to install and trim posts, and then attach pickets to the rails.
- Saturday, July 15, 2017 – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Maintain A Deck: Stripping, cleaning and staining. Participants will learn and have the opportunity to gain the skill and confidence in cleaning your deck and preparing it for a new finish.
- Sunday, July 23, 2017 – 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM: Build a Garden Pond: Build, landscape & stock flexible liner ponds. Participants will learn how to build, landscape, and stock flexible liner ponds and allow them to practice as many of these steps as possible.
- Saturday, August 05, 2017 – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Build a Deck: Learn how to plan and install a deck. You will learn how to use the appropriate tools to build a freestanding deck.
- FREE Do-It-Herself workshops mix demos and hands-on learning to help women tackle a variety of home improvement projects.
- Wednesday, June 21, 2017 – 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM: Painting Your Home’s Exterior: Prep and paint or stain. Participants will learn how to prep and paint exteriors, including windows and trim. How to paint or stain home exteriors as well.
- Wednesday, July 19, 2017 – 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM: Tile Floors and Walls: Select, lay cut and grout tile. Participants will learn how to install ceramic tile over backerboard on floors and walls.
- Wednesday, August 16, 2017 – 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM: Open the door to an organized Closet: Choose & install a closet system. Participants You will learn basic information on organizing personal items, choosing closet storage systems, and installing ClosetMaid Closet Storage Systems.
Kids Workshops (3):
- FREE Hands-on Workshops designed for children ages 5 – 12. Held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at all The Home Depot stores. Each child can bring home a newly constructed project, an achievement pin and certificate
- Saturday, June 24, 2017 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Build a Tool Box – Canada Day. Join our hands-on workshop and you and your child can build a tool box. Once the project is complete, your child can personalize their tool box with paint and Canada Day stickers. All kids get to keep their project. Children must be between the ages of 5-12 and must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit. Limited quantity available.
- Saturday, July 08, 2017 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Build A Bug House. Join our hands-on workshop and you and your child can build a bug house. Once the project is complete, your child can personalize their bug house with paint. All kids get to keep their project and receive a FREE certificate of achievement and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be between the ages of 5-12 and must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit.
- Saturday, August 12, 2017 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Build a Home Depot Truck. Join our hands-on workshop and you and your child can build a Home Depot truck. Once the project is complete, your child can personalize their Home Depot Truck with paint and stickers. All kids get to keep their project and receive a FREE certificate of achievement and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be between the ages of 5-12 and must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit.
