Twilight New Moon Is Being Released At Midnight In Canada. Will You Be Buying It Tonight?

twilight_new_moon

We are not going to dwell on the fact that I’ve lost some faith in humanity over the craze of these Twilight movies lol, but tonight is the release of New Moon Twilight. Stores like Blockbuster are staying open until 2am for all the vampires out there to be the first ones to pick up their copy of New Moon. While your in line for the release why not pop over to Toys R Us and pick up some Twilight dolls on sale, buy Jacob and get Edward or Bella half price! Made by Mattel. They look cute but I’m a bit dissapointed they don’t sparkle.

Will you be lining up tonight to get the movie? Or wait until daylight and buy it tommorow? Or perhaps you belong to the small united group that doesn’t care about Twilight. Either way comments are welcomed.

I took advantage of the pre-order on cineplex/scene and was rewarded 1000 bonus scene points… plus I received New Moon in the mail three days ago… early! Definite bonus. 🙂

  2. Pameth says:

    I pre-ordered the blu-ray from Amazon. It was 21.99.

  3. mlongboat says:

I did the same as Kim and got mine 11 days early:) WOO HOO! THen I saw Alice in WOnderland with my points:)

  4. Maddie2008 says:

I personally don’t see the hype over it, but I do like the series.
I will just wait until tomorrow to pick it up. I mean its not like running out for boxing day sales or anything.

  5. Jenn says:

they didn’t make Jacob dark enough.

  6. Catherine L says:

I have to say that I am one of the small united group that doesn’t care about Twilight. Just not my kind of thing. I do understand the craze however – I’m a huge dweeb over the Harry Potter series:)

  7. Kim says:

I honestly don’t see the hype about this movie, in fact I could not stand it whatsoever. I find it disgusting that the adverts are pretty much everywhere, invading my personal space. Hopefully they won’t come up with another wasteful sequel…

  8. denise says:

I just watched New Moon. Love it!!!

  9. RRES says:

I am a “Twi-hard” (loved the books and went to see the movies so far) but I think the dolls are really inappropriate – why are they marketing a story that is for adults towards pre-teen girls? It just makes me mad….

  10. victoria says:

Seen the movie yesterday, LOVED IT!!! can’t wait until eclipse comes out!!

  11. Ally says:

I will be going to Futureshop tonight. We collect the blu-ray steelbox movies and they are exclusive to FS.

  12. Kitty says:

I wonder how much fanfic will be made with those dolls…

  13. Eric says:

ugh. Dear God no. Far as I’m concerned, Stephanie Meyer makes JK Rowling look like William Shakespeare.

  14. banansa says:

Why are people so crazy over movies… i mean.. im a huge fan of certain series , but there is no movie that is so amazing, that I would literally stand in line for at midtnight to get… *sigh* there are so many more important things in life than a 2 hour movie.

  15. Russell says:

A family tree can wither if nobody tends it’s roots

  16. Angela says:

The dolls are hideous. Bella looks like a brunette Barbie. Edward looks very squinty for some reason. Jacob is alright in comparison I guess. I don’t think the dolls are incentives to buying the movie. I’d rather go without.

  17. Brittany says:

Definitely not! The first Twilight movie’s acting was horrible and I wouldn’t waste my time or money on another Twilight movie.

  18. Daria says:

With respect to the films, New Moon is in many ways superior to Twilight. The attention to film editting, special effects, and stunts makes it evident that both the directors and the budget were quite different… both much needed factors after Twilight.

I am a huge fan of both the books and the movies. I pre-ordered New Moon using the Cineplex deal of getting 1000 bonus Scene points and was pleasantly surprised to receive the DVD three days before the release date! Needless to say, I am quite a happy camper!

    ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  20. itsjustmebub says:

already pre-ordered from Scene, got 1000 points free (so free movie) and it arrived 4 days early lol

  21. L. Wilson says:

I didn’t go at midnight, I went today.

Walmart advertised the film for 17.96 in the flyer – but I had the happy surprise to find they had reduced it to 14.96 when I got there, this morning.

The dolls are hilarious – when I was a kid I had a Jordan from NKOTB doll – rat tail and all!!! Let the kiddies have their fun!

When the last Harry Potter book was released at midnight, I went and had a blast! People were dressed up and singing – it was so great, but this was in Guelph! But, I knew that now that I am in a small town, waiting in line at midnight for Twilight wouldn’t be as much fun.

I think everyone who is super negative about Twilight needs to lighten up and let those who like fun, have it!!

  22. L. Wilson says:

    p.s. Where are Jacob’s nipples…???

  23. itsjustmebub says:

    lmao

  24. Tessa says:

    Hell no.

  25. mist_ynight says:

I just got mine at Wal-mart, the Blu-ray was advertised at 22.97 for today but I got it for $19.97. I thought that was a great price I was fully prepared to spend more on it.

  26. Natalie says:

I love the books, but the first movie wasn’t that great. I rented New Moon we’ll see how that is.

  27. denise says:

The barbie dolls aren’t that great, but check out these ones: http://www.tonnerdoll.com/twilight.htm
    Crazy prices, though!

  28. 2jk19 says:

I’m not a Twilight fan BUT Shoppers has it on sale for $14.77 (cheapest price around apparently – as told to me by the customers!)

PLUS Shoppers has the promo this weekend – extra $25 or $50 reward if you are at the $75 or $150 reward level – so it’s nice a lot of people were getting it for free or discounted. Either way you get points! 🙂

  29. L. Wilson says:

2jk19 – Shoppers did have the lowest price, which is why WalMart dropped it to $14.76!

  30. theresa says:

Went to Shoppers- 8 am no line ups… did all my other shopping too..
Great Price for a movie the kids wanted. $14.77

  31. Wendy says:

I honestly don’t get what all the hype is about. But oh well, something else will take their place in another few months and maybe that “hype” will appeal to me 🙂

  32. 2jk19 says:

1 cent cheaper at Wal-Mart??! That is not much of a price drop lol – good they tried to compete but if people collect Optimum points – 1 penny more isn’t so bad 😉

  33. radio says:

Its nice to know the next generation is going to grow up knowing that vamps glow in the sun.

  34. The books were great! I refuse to even watch the movie – the first one was horrible. Needless to say, I will no be buying the movie at all!

  35. I just covered my entire room with posters of jacob and edward, now I can sleep easy all night knowing they are protecting me 🙂

  36. Love the page, I just saw new moon a few days ago and already im making a page for it, I was so drawn into it I almost felt obligated to share it with others, plenty of abs to go around I think :).
