You may recall my post about Ufile recently. For those that make $20,000 or under per year, you can use Ufile for free, how­ever oth­ers do have to pay. You can use UFile.ca today and save $5.00!

    Or you could just use studiotax.com for free… This is sup­posed to be a deals site, not a direct mar­ket­ing oppor­tu­nity, right?

    How is this direct mar­ket­ing? SC gains noth­ing from let­ting you know you can save $5 on your tax refund. Use what­ever tax thing you want, but some peo­ple like to use and have used Ufile for years and appre­ci­ate the discount.

I am just try­ing to help peo­ple out post­ing this, an SC mem­ber sub­mit­ted this deal and I posted it cause I thought it was good, that’s all there is to it, I promise.

    I bought the soft­ware and some how since yes­ter­day it is not work­ing for me. Every­time I try a win­dow will open and will ask to pay first which I did. Left many mes­sages no reply yet.

    Hi:

    I want to receive the $5.00 dis­count code so how do I do this? Do I buy the soft­ware from the Future shop ($19.99) and then wen I do the taxes use the code then. Or do I do it on line and get the dis­count then. We have two taxes to do so if we do it on line how much would it cost us?

    Anita that was a code for to use within 2010 (hence the posts are from Feb 2010). I tried it now and it is no longer valid

    I used the code and it was accepted with no prob­lem. It is for the web-based ver­sion of the soft­ware only, not for the retail or down­load ver­sion that actu­ally installs on your com­puter. Also, it is for tax year 2010, so it gets used in cal­en­dar year 2011.

    The code didn’t work for me either.….its was for 2009 tax year when you filed in 2010.

    Just filed my tax return using Ufile for year 2010. The code did not work for me this time.
    Still happy with­out the dis­count– It is still cheaper than get­ting some­one to do it for you

    March 2, 2011. This coupon code does not work for Ufile 2010. Just tried… it says that it is not vaild.

    For those men­tion­ing StudioTax…It is not suited for Que­bec res­i­dents.. Sim­i­lar to many other pro­grams like taxfee­way and other cheaper alternatives..

    Directly from stu­dio­tax web site:
    “Please note that Que­bec provin­cial tax is not sup­ported. For Que­bec res­i­dents, you can only pre­pare the Fed­eral tax…”

    Found a coupon that works for Ufile 2010. The code is UF04C01AXR and it’s good for $4.00 off. I tried it and it works. Enjoy everyone!

    Thanks Dianne. The code worked and saved my almost a mil­lion dol­lars on my taxes. The gov­ern­ment is intro­duc­ing new tax forms for 2011 taxes. It goes like this:

    UF04C01AXR still works today..yey! ^_^ It’s our FIRST TIME fil­ing our own tax return as we always thought it’s so intim­i­dat­ing, but with Ufile it’s such a breeze! Why pay oth­ers a hefty sum for a sim­ple per­sonal tax return?

    Tax return DEADLINE: 30 April 2011 HURRY! Nobody knows when the coupon code will expire!

    Just tried it people..it f’n worked! I’m using the online ver­sion of ufile..at first i didn’t think it worked because noth­ing hap­pened when i hit the ‘apply’ but­ton. but then i scrolled down to the billing totals and saw that it was reflected there! woot, i hate taxes, and want the CRA to be abolished..but glad i saved 5 bucks!

    Just filed (whoops a lit­tle late) and the coupon code still works. Even in con­junc­tion with the pc finan­cial deal. I filed my family’s taxes for $17.

    appeared to work at first, but after hit­ting sub­mit, the mes­sage “Credit card val­i­da­tion — The dis­count voucher code is not valid” came up

    the u-file apply reduc­tion, but i
    received invalid mes­sage and come back to try my 2$ coupon, well the price was already drop for 4$ with­out any coupon, I enter my 2$ coupon

    and it was valid, so total price for fam­ily 20$ with tax.
    Maybe the u-file just give at me after 20 times of try­ing? I notice I enter same 4$ coupon before and it did not work at first or may be I did not check well the total price when I come back for first page.

    Who needs UFile’s $2/4/5 coupons when there’s an absolutely FREE alter­na­tive like STUDIOTAX! I’ve used Ufile last year but been see­ing good reviews about STUDIOTAX so I filled out both any­ways for com­par­i­son and guess what — STUDIOTAX gave me $300 more refund and it’s FREE! $300 would go a long way for our house­hold so ofcourse I gave dona­tion to studiotax.com coz I want then to stay here for­ever & hope my dona­tion could help BHOK IT Con­sult­ing to improve their UI for next year ^_*
