Local residents of Vancouver can now check out local events and venues in the Vancouver area for free if you are eligible to apply for the Vancouver Inspiration Pass. The Vancouver Inspiration Pass is a two week pass that will provide Vancouver Library card holders with free access to over 20 venues in the Vancouver area.
The Vancouver Inspiration Pass will be offered in two week packages and there will be a total of 140 passes available for each session to be put on hold from the Vancouver Library, with 20 passes being located at the Downtown location and 6 passes for each other branch. Each person who holds a library card, and is over the age of 14, will be able to take out this pass once each year and the card will guarantee admittance for either:
- a mixture of 4 adults and children ages 18 and younger
- up to four young people, ages 14-18
You will be permitted to go to each venue once during the two week period, and you will have the choice of visiting places like the Museum of Vancouver or even spending an afternoon at a Vancouver swimming pool or pitch and putt golf course!
Once you have put your Inspiration Pass on hold at your library of choice, as you will only be permitted to request one at a time, you will be notified two weeks before your pass will become available for use. The pass becomes activated from the Wednesday morning that your library has made it available and expires on the Tuesday evening two weeks later; so I’d suggest you pick your card up as soon as your library makes it available to you so that you can get the most out of your two weeks of use.
