Walmart.ca has the Philips 22″ 720p LCD HDTV (model #22PFL3505) on clearance for $98. The TV also ships for free to most locations.
While this TV won’t blow you away, if you are looking for an additional TV on a budget this would work.

any opinions on using it as a monitor?
mine is totally crapped out
nisiepie, the resolution isn’t that great for this to be used as a monitor, you’re better off buying an actual monitor. canadacomputers tend to have decent 23″ samsung and asus monitors on sale every so often.
thank you tam 🙂
I personally own it and I use it as a monitor, TV, have my Xbox and WII hooked up to it. I’ve had it for about 4 years and still works fine. It’s not top quality and sound is boxy. It’s used as an extra in the kids room with my 2nd pc and gaming and for the price it’s perfect for that.
we don’t game like teens, perhaps solitaire and mahjong every so often.
i want something that is 100’ish AND decent quality, because honestly i can’t justify spending more than that right now. money’s tight, and medications and food take precedent over being able to see SC clearly!
Thanks for the input.
