Microsoft has just announced that existing XBOX Live Gold members will be receiving two free games per month until the launch of the XBOX One in November. The first two games will be Halo 3 and Assasin’s Creed 2.
In addition to this Fable 3 was also made free for subscribers today. The price may still show as $39.99, but if you click through on your console you should be able to download it for free.
Snagged Fable 3 earlier in the morning just in case it was a glitch in the system (like Fable 2 was). as for the 2 free games per month, here’s hoping they offer better titles, or at least ones I haven’t played yet. Still will probably get AC2 as it’s been a while and I have the first on disk.
also worth noting from the conference – MS points will be going bye bye in favour of regional currency – no more being cheated out of 200 points when we buy a 1400 point card for $20 where US gets 1600 points for the same amount – even when our dollar is stronger.
