With Christmas around the corner, it was only a matter of time until some fantastic deals on toys started to spring up. This weeks Zellers A-to-Z sale has some great savings on gifts for kids, but I don’t think any of them even come close to this one. All LEGO products will be buy one get one half price until Friday, November 21st.
LEGO is one of those products we all remember fondly, but until you have kids or a mid-life crisis urge to build something marvelous out of interconnecting blocks, you’ve probably never realized how expensive it is. We’re talking over $100 for a good set expensive. So when I hear the words buy one get one half price, my ears instantly perk up.
If anyone out there builds anything exciting, I’m all ears. 🙂
I am so in love with you posting this. Thank you. I am a lego addict and I know what I’m putting under the tree for me this year.
THIS might excite you: http://www.xanga.com/private/yourhome.aspx?user=retroactivegirl. Thanks for the heads up. I know what I’m getting my husband for Christmas.
Buy one get one 1/2 off never excites me…that’s really only 25% off each item.
If 25% off doesn’t excite you then I am not sure what would. I will take 25% off any day.
With Lego 25% is great in my books.
I have declared war on Zellers…. sure they advertise great deals… but watch that till…. chances are high that the price they advertise isn’t what they’ll charge you at the till.
Zellers reps tell me they are working diligently on the problem, but this has been on going for years.
I have started an e mail campaign to demand that Zellers adopt the Scanning Code of Practice which makes retailers accountable for these “errors”. Zellers policy of “if you notice our mistake, we will give it to you at the sale price” is simply not acceptable.
If you shop at Zellers watch your receipt!!!!
Hi, nice post. I have been wondering about this issue,so thanks for writing. I will certainly be subscribing to your posts.
