PC Optimum Program Launches Today!

The PC Optimum program kicks off today and the new app is now live! You may find that your PC Plus app has automatically become  the new PC Optimum app, but many of you will find that you do need to go download this new app.

You will have to register for the PC Optimum program, then link your existing cards. You can go to the store and pick up a new card, but if you don’t have, want, or need a physical card, then the good news is you do not have to leave the house. You can accomplish all of this linking cards together just by using the app or by visiting the PC Optimum website. Before long, you will see all of your points merged together in this shiny new place.

The app gave me a bit of trouble, so I found the easiest way to register and link cards was by using the website, where everything was glitch free and straightforward.

Have you managed to smoothly and successfully link your cards together?

couple of problems with signups, etc. but my only issue I care about is the offers. I used to get 10-13 optimum offers a week, and 15-18 pcplus offers a week. IE 25-31 offers a week. Instead we get 11 and most of them are for products that we have never bought and all were PC or Life brand. Hope they get better.

    >_< cannot link the optimum card

Fortinos staff only wanted the PC Plus card to scan and told customers to go to Shoppers to get their SDM Optimum scanned. I did get my PC Optimum card this morning and have it activated. When I tried to link my SDM Optimum card (entering the card number), I got an error message. So will have Shoppers staff scan my card when I go home and get groceries.

My PC Plus points showed on the Fortinos receipt when the PC Optimum card was scanned after the PC Plus card. When I had my new card activated, the PC Plus pts matched the receipt total.

Different thing about offers (mostly produce or PC brand items): you have to click on the upper right gray tab to get it to change to peach-red to activate the offer. The fields below the offer to hide the offer or save the offer for another week are not accessible to me (not using an app).

App and website don’t work for me — won’t let me register for a new account with my existing email, but when I try to login with existing email and password, says I need to register for a new account. Will re-try in a day or two … or just be like HBC, Air Miles, etc and abandon yet another ‘loyalty points’ plan to the scrap heap.

    In a word….grrrr

Cannot link my Optimum card either…grrrr..

Had to reset my password even though I didn’t have an account – weird — then gives me an error when I try to link my Optimum account. Can’t send a help message (gives me another error), and live chat is unavailable. Fail.

No luck with Optimum…..what a pain in the arse this is.

  9. M says:

PC Optimum just tweeted me (since you can’t reach them any other way online):

“We are aware of this issue and currently working to resolve it. Thanks for your patience.”

  10. Bibi says:

    I couldn’t link Optimum either

  11. Keven says:

I had no problems linking the PC Plus and Optimum cards. Got 11 offers of products I don’t use but im sure the offers will match up with my spending up later as this is a new program.

The best way to transfer points is IN STORE, they will ask for your old optimum card or pc plus and swipe it and then swipe the new one and there points transferred! You can sign up for email offers but I would wait a few days till they work out the kinks.

  13. m says:

… and their web app crashes when you try to contact them. #fail

  14. Dave says:

Go my points cards linked today through the Android app. The first day was terrible, looks like too many people tried to sign up at once.
