To be completely honest with you, I’m a little disappointed by this news. 🙁

By November 14th, there should be playable kiosks in every store in the country – they’ve already begun setting them up in the states (Gamestop got theirs yesterday.)

Part of me thinks I should just wait the extra 5 days – but then again, if this is an official Nintendo event I might be able to get some really cool schwag. Ok – now I definitely want to go.

    Crap!

    I can’t. 🙁

My dad is coming up from Florida on the 14th to stay for a few weeks. Nothing says “I love you dad” like passing him at the bus station on my way to TO when I should be driving him back to my place.

  2. […] My good friends over at SmartCanucks have posted about a great event in Toronto on the 14th where you can play the Wii a few days before launch.  Unfortunately due to family obligations I can’t make it.  It’s too bad, because I bet there’ll be a ton of good schwag.  If anybody gets any they don’t want, send it along to me!  Here are the details as found on the Nintendo website; […]

    Hey all,
Jimmy, would you happen to know if there are any midnight releases of the wii schedualed in Toronto? Could you help me out with this? I’m a long time gamer and launches are friggin cool. Let me know?

Fantastic question – I know my store here in St. Catharines won’t be doing one, but somewhere in Toronto might be a possibility. I’ll see what I can find out and get back to you.

I’ll be at this event for sure!! I’m taking the day off of work and driving from Woodstock, Ontario for this! Should be a blast! 😀

Hi, I’m a reporter with the Toronto Star. Really. I’m doing a story on Wii-related injuries or damage to household furniture/appliances. You’ve probably seen the stories, which I’ll drop links to below, but I’m looking for someone in Toronto or surrounding area who has felt sore the next morning after playing the Wii, busted up their hand, knocked over a lamp or a friend, for example. If this is you, and this is open to pretty much anyone in Ontario, though the closer to Toronto the better, can you email me at [email protected]? The story is due Thursday so I’d have to hear from you soon.
