One must be careful saving shoes for next year since the shoes could be likely already a year old and saving them for another 8 months to a year will put them very close to if not out of any applicable warranty coverage. Note that most manufacturers do not specify a time period. I have purchased another well known maker’s clearance athletic shoes, had pieces of glued on sole material fail and been told they are too old to be covered despite a recent purchase date and obvious defect.
