I tried to use this coupon at the Arby’s in Coquitlam Center. They refused to take it, claiming that it’s only at selected locations. This is not the first time that I had run into problems using legitimate coupons at this location. For some reasons, the employees there act like the money is coming out of their own pockets if they let you use a coupon.

I tried to use it at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto and they would not take it.

Seems like bait and switch it would be nice if they were required to disclose all participating locations somewhere. That way they couldn’t pull stuff like this.

I know this coupon is long since expired, but it does look like it is a US coupon… Arby’s Canada has a little maple leaf in the logo, which this one does not have.

  7. I tried the coupon it expires March 9th 2009 that day has come and gone

I got a similar coupon from their preferred client list (Arby’s Extras Members) and was refused. I was told the same BS- that it was good only in the US (and my coupon clearly says it is valid in CANADA ONLY). The manager even made a big scene and embarrassed me. I’ve emailed twice to Arby’s Head Office to complain, and the only thing I’ve gotten back is automated emails asking if I had been contacted. This has gone on for over two months, and I have since boycotted Arby’s in retaliation. Obviously they don’t give a da** about their customers, even regulars like myself (used to go twice a week or so).

    But that’s big business I guess….

But as always, it’s Buyers Beware!

  9. Caz says:

Arby’s and Brick Brewery are pulling a fast one on customers, they enclose a coupon in the case of beer for a “free roast beef sandwich” bullshit, try and get one in Kitchener.

Well, it does say, “at participating Arby’s restaurant locations only.”
    Maybe they’re not participating.

Their were a few Arby’s locations in Vancouver, including one near me,but they have all closed down and moved to the suburbs.I never liked the place. One time they refused to sell me a kid’s meal, because I had no children with me.I never went back after that.

iI had a complaint re: ‘service’ at a Red Deer., AB location..phoned 4 times and was informed that there wasn’t a manager onsite at the time…
Finally, after an instore visit when I complained that they had totally messed up a tke away order we picked up on our way out of town on our way to take my son for treatment in Edmonton Hospital, a rep took my info and assured a manager would call.
She did. She was so very confrontational and rude that ultimately I requested her name. She chose to respond by hanging up on me. I called back, again was hung up on. 4 times after that. WOW!
I had finally contacted a party with the authority to deal with their screw up…5 days later…and because I couldn’t provide the receipt or exact time of our transaction, she treated me in a manner that was demeaning and rude to an extreme point.
She lied to me…saying that there was always a manager on site at all times. Why then, each time I called or visited after our return from out of town was I informed by staff that there wasn’t a manager there at the time I requested to speak to one?!
The only power we have as consumers today is the power afforded with our right to choose…to vote with our feet…and to walk away from businesses that find profit far more important than maintaining any level of relationship with their customers aside from taking the money!!!
And once they got the cash, well, forget you!

This is not the sort of franchise that I would care to support. It is only my opinion, based on my personal experience…but I would suggest that everyone purchasing a takeout order carefully examining everything in the bag as to the contents…cause that will be ur only chance!

    Hi:
We have been customers of Arbys for many years in London, Ont. and recently moved to Woodstock, Ont and to our dismay there is no Arbys in Woodstock.
I have a suggestion for you – we live on Canterbury Street in a Senior Apt. complex with about 100 + tenants and there are three more Apartment buildings right around ours. At a guess about 400 – 500 apartments mostly if not all Seniors.
Right here within easy walking distance is a building which at some time was a Dry cleaning business. The building now is either for rent or sale and in my opinion perfectly suited for a Arbys. I am certain if a Arbys were within walking distance it would be far busier then any of the McDonalds, Burger Kings, around here. All the Seniors I know would much prefer your meals then the afore mentioned places.
Also just in front of our buildins is a food supermarket even as their prices are much, much higher then the other supermarkets in town they are doing a roaring business because they are within walking distance of our apartments.
Maybe you should look into this, many of our neighbours and I certainly would like to have a nice and reasonable meal right in our vicinity. Lets face it a trip to McDonalds, Burger King, Swiss Chalet, Pizza Hut etc. involves a taxi or bus trip to a meal which is vvastly inferior to anything at Arbys .
My opinion which I am sure is shared by most seniors.
    Gerd
