Starting today, June 18th, until Thursday, June 24, 2010, Home Outfitters is having a great sale on their zero gravity chairs. They are regularly priced at $69.99-$99.99 and on sale for $29.99. There is a limit of 4 chairs per person, while quantities last. If you haven’t already bought a Father’s Day present, I think this would be a nice one to give without breaking the bank.

Big thanks to Melody113 for posting this great deal!

Just wanted to say that these chairs are awesome. I’ve had one for over a year now and I love it. I think I paid around $60 and thought that as a good price…$30 is awesome.

  2. Natalka

Any idea if these can hold a man’s weight — like 200 lbs?

  3. matrix82

I think it holds up to at least 250…it says on the box…there are also different types of the chair, some are larger than others, the regularly 99 dollar one has a larger seat than the cheaper one. You may be better off going to the store and having a look.

  4. PINKROSE

I have some very overweight friends, whom I saw them with these chairs and they were just fine and comfortable in it.
    I was very surprised.

umm…sorry are these the chairs where you go upside down to relieve backpain?? no, not asking to be funny, am serious!! :)

  6. seajay

I went at lunch to pickup a couple and they were sold out. Does anyone know who else carries these and will price match??

  7. matrix82

The Bay also carries these chairs and price match.

I’ve also seen them at Canadian Tire, but I don’t know if it is the same brand.

Also, no these chairs do not go upside down, they recline, kind of like a lazy boy chair meets one of those patio loungers. Depending on your stature they can be hard to get out of..aka if you are short and have mobility issues I wouldn’t reccommend it.

All I know is that I had a broken Jaw last year and sleeping in a bed was painful so I took to sleep in this chair for about a week or two while I recovered from the surgery. I have nothing but good things to say about it, as it helped my recovery.

My husband calls it my grandpa chair, as I did have it in our apartment living room for about two months…when reclined it does take up a good deal of space, if you have a regular sized apartment balcony it takes up almost the whole space.

they were the HBC brand, so probably no price matching.

i picked up 2 just before noon, they were pretty much all gone.
hubby’s gonna love them, he wants to sprawl out and snooze everywhere.

  9. Leighann

I just picked up two of these at Shoppers last week. I love them!! SDM was clearing them out and were selling for the same price of $29.99

  10. Sonia

There were a few of these left at Oakville, but thing they will all be gone by end of the day.…plus they had 15% off if you used your HBC card so came to $28 each…

  11. KimC

Barrie and Newmarket are all sold out… :( Would’ve liked one!

  12. lisa

Kitchener is sold out as well. Likely all locations had small stock to begin with. Can’t stand when stores don’t carry enough stock to last the three days the sale is on.

  13. Debbie

Yes I went at noon in Barrie and they were sold out..apparently there was a line up outside on opening.

  14. Hilda

I went to Zellers and bought one for $39. It would have been nice to get it for $29 but they sound like a great chair

  15. Andrea

Zellers would have price matched for you — I picked one up yesterday.

  16. seajay

Just got back from Zellers. I bought 3 and price matched them at $29.99 and used my SPC card for 10% discount on top of it. Also bought the sunshades for each one of them. They were listed for $11 but rang in at $7.70.

  17. IRefuseToPayFullPrice

seajay — Did you have the Home Outfitters flyer with you? And did Zellers have the exact same thing? Or was it a different brand?

  18. Hilda

re: Zellers price matching — I didn’t have a flyer with me and I mentioned the price difference and they said that was nice. Is there a flyer available that I can bring into the store?

  19. Natalie

What is so great about the Zero Gravity chairs? Why does everybody love them?

  20. seajay

IRefuseToPayFullPrice, I went to Home Outfitters and picked up a flyer. They only had a yellow photocopy. I had no problem price matching at Zellers. The flyer says ALL Zero Gravity Chairs at $29.99 so they didn’t have a problem with it at all. I bought the grey canvas ones, they also have the ones that are brown but they have a vinyl like coating to the material. Those are the ones that are on sale for $39.99 but they get extremely hot to sit on if they have been sitting in the sun so I stuck with the canvas ones.

Hilda go to your closest Home Outfitters and pickup a flyer. It is certainly worth the effort to price match. These chairs are so comfortable. I bought one for my dad and he absolutely loves it.

Natalie, the Zero Gravity chairs recline and have a head/neck rest, you can also buy the optional sun shade and foot rest for them. These chairs are regularly $49.99 to $99.00 so at $29.99 its a steal.

  21. Natalia

Wow this is a great deal! I am going to try price matching at Zellers or The Bay. I have wanted these for a while… my location of course is sold out as well unfortunately.
