Excellent — i made the first cut from iCoke to carry the olympic torch — now i can use this to train *just in case* i somehow get picked!
    Thanks!

  2. fabian

how do i know i will get it? it says only the first 10,000

  3. Vicks

thanks but how do u know whether or not u r from the first 10000 that will receive it? does it mention that anywhere?

  4. missbobloblaw

it says that you will receive INFO about a free pedometer and the walk thing in the mail when you sign up…not that you get an actual pedometer right away.…so heres hoping!

  5. missbobloblaw

oh wait. It depends how you read that…they should of wrote that sentence better, or at least used punctuation…my bad!!!

  6. bylo

Is the pedometer as shown, i.e. with USB cable to attach to a PC?

  7. dealsniffer

so it doesn’t say then whether I am one of the first 10,000? so the fact that it doesn’t say anything once I sign up doesn’t mean I am not one of the first 10,000?

  8. jojos_n_kelowna

jonn..how do you know they are all gone? I signed up…didn’t say anything about them all gone…

  9. space-ace

Most of you cheap-bs’ will probably never access the site to update any data after your registration. That’s where CSA is smart, the pedo will only be mailed out after a predetermined numbers of entries are made. It’s all in the superfine print of the prgm…which most of you probably didn’t or can’t read.

  10. ThatguyRob

space ace was the first sentence really necessary?

  11. saveoneverthing

I searched for the fine print and couldn’t find anything that said they were all gone. With any luck I’ll get one

  12. The_Scarecrow

This is a nice promotion and a cool way to get people to get more active. Im already active but I would like to train for next year’s marathon and this will help me. I also like that they make a 340km goal. space-ace.…. more like space-a$$.

  13. Sallycat

    LOL.…Good one, Scarecrow.

I signed up for the pedometer and if I do get one I WILL definitely be using it and going back to the site to update my stats. What good is a free pedometer if you don’t plan on using it?

  14. showler

Signed up. Added my walking distance from yesterday and today. I’m 11km up in the air so far :)

  15. Heather

Space-Ace obviously your on this forum too so the insults to those who provide you with deals is uncalled for. I don’t really care what people think about me and my coupons because at the end of the day I save ALOT of money (thanks to people on this forum and myself) and I am able to afford alot more. Why would you want to throw money away at the retailers when you can keep it?? FYI I always read the fine print.

  16. lbal

Space-A$$ errr Ace: “Thou shall not judge”… There is nothing wrong signing up for freebies if it is being offered for free. Nothing wrong with using coupons either if it is being offered or promoted by the manufacturers and retailers get reimbursed for it. For some people it’s a bother to do… for some people, they enjoy doing it or they are motivated for other reasons such as not being wasteful, having a goal and etc. If people really do it because they don’t have the money itself, based on principle, there is still nothing wrong with it as long as one is not stealing an item… It’s not a crime to save money using these means.

Yay! I received my pedometer today. I can’t wait to use it while walking outside. It came from : Agence Spatiale Canadienne
    6767 CH DE L’AEROPORT
    FINANCES — GESTION DE L’INFORMA
    SANT-HUBERT QC J3Y 8Y9
A neat freebie they have; nice promo program :)

  19. ElsaLAbbe

the offer is over. all pedometers have been given away.

  20. Sallycat

I just received my pedometer as well. Unfortunately it doesn’t look anything like the one in the pic. Oh well, hope it works.

Thanks for posting this great offer.

  21. lbal

You’re right, it doesn’t look like the one on the pic. But it’s more compact; it looks like a tiny pager with clip on you can easily hang on your wardrobe. It did say that they are giving a LEED brand pedometer, which it is. Make sure you pull out the thin clear plastic covering the battery to make it works. I tried it and it seem to work just fine.

  22. Miss Sally

That is so true Sallycat, I was like what is this. But a freebies a freebie, thanks Boo.

  23. JSAM_S Mom

I got mine in the mail last night. It’s nothing like the one in the photo, just a basic pedometer. It’s tiny, though, which is great, because usually they’re chunky and look really strange under your office attire if you wear it all day. I’m glad to finally have one this small.

  24. Sue

I tried mine out this morning, did whatever it is I do here all day & took a break to do some cross-stitch. Before I sat down I looked at the pedometer & made a mental note of what it said. Half an hour later I was shocked to see the number had gone WAY up. Seems whenever I leaned over to look at my cross-stitch pattern, get the scissors or something, the number would go up from that slight movement.

  25. yutaka

Finally, there is a notice about this blog on the Canadian Space Agency website. Just let you know.

Oh, I am enjoying their program anyway.

    ———-

Please note that the information currently on smartcanucks.ca is incorrect. The pedometer is distributed with the collaboration of ParticipACTION.

Below is a picture of the ParticipACTION pedometer.

    (PIC of the pedometer)

    Thank you for your understanding.

    * All pedometers have been distributed.

The leaflet guide indicates that adults supposed to have 10,000 steps a day. I walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes (equal to 300 calories burned) and the pedometer shows that I have taken 6,000 steps after the exercise. I think it works fine. And gee, if it weren’t for the treadmill walk I would be way under the required daily requirements of 10,000 steps. Do you keep up? It seems like health exercise is a big thing nowadays.

  27. monie

I would like to know if anyone knows about a pedometer that I can shut off when I an in the car. The bumps as the car is running counts on the pedometer I have. I have no way to turn the Pedometer off. I have the centrios 6310620. I have been searching and none of the pedometers indicate this feature. In order to do the 10,000 steps, I need it with me all day. A great part of my day is driving long distances. Thank you.

  28. rachael gooding

i have looked everywhere for one.….. pleaseeeee
